Dec. 3: What's on HDTV today

Army Navy football

What we're watching:

Someone has to be the better team, right? Today is the 106th football contest between Army and Navy; the series is dead even at 49-49-7, so today's winner can gain some big bragging rights. I live near Philadelphia where the game will be held, and today we've got perfect football weather for the game. We might hit 40-degrees by game time; it's sunny and slightly windy. Watch for more on the ground than in the air at 2:30 p.m. on CBS. The 1080i broadcast will be live from The Linc' here in Philly; a great stadium for a game.

Tonight is a little light on high-def programming (unless you want more college football), so we're going to give TNT-HD another chance; this time with a classic. "The Wizard of Oz" is digitally remastered in high-definition, so you can follow the yellow brick road at 8 p.m. with the kids. I've been less than impressed with TNT-HD's quality as of late, so this is their chance to redeem themselves. If I'm not happy with it, I'll be jumping to HDNet Movies for one of my favorites: "I Dreamed of Africa" with Kim Basinger and Vincent Perez.

After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.
