Falling Leaf Alky Project - Bringing Top Games to the Mac?

Here's one for all you forlorn Mac gamers out there. Falling Leaf Systems claims to be working on a new technology called Alky which will allow Windows games to run on OS X (and Linux). It's somewhat hard to tell what exactly what they are doing, but it seems to be something similar to WINE. Each of the Alky Converters will be specific to a particular game, so for instance right now they are working on Converters for Prey (as above), The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Neverwinter Nights 2. They have an early access program for $50 which will let you play around with the alpha release of the Alky Converter for the Prey demo. If they could actually pull this off, it would certainly be a great boon to the Mac gaming community, but I don't think I'll be giving up my 50 bucks just yet. Anybody out there with any experience running an Alky Converter?
