No they're not little gloves for your iPod, they're
actually for you. These gloves from Tavo keep your mitts warm but also have electrically conductive channels running to
the fingertips. Why is that important? Just try to use
that iPod
click-wheel with any other pair of gloves and you'll get the picture (but no sound). The gloves are constructed with
thermal fabric and have silicone grips so you don't drop that precious portable audio player. These could also come in
handy if you're a big notebook trackpad user in a very cool climate, but you knew we were going to say that, didn't
you?

humm... wonder if I can use this for my Airsoft game.

I can't believe the sheer volume of press these guys are getting off of these things.
Try this: remove iPod from pocket; remove glove; use iPod; replace glove.
Works pretty well, doesn't it? If your hands are too cold to do this, it's probably outside your iPod's recommended operating temperature range anyway.

At first glance, i thought they were marketing these gloves as the preferred way of handling your iPod to avoid scratching LOL
lupinstel @ Jan 4th 2006 2:08PM
Don't buy these gloves, just use your tongue. Your tongue even comes in its own free carrying case.
George @ Jan 4th 2006 2:54PM
It's not a bad idea, really. There are certainly uses for the gloves. It's just a shame about the styling. Maybe they should have launched the gloves with a design that doesn't make the wearer look like a rent boy from Vail.

hahahaha, NOT FUNNY ^^
Dinnie @ Jan 4th 2006 3:05PM
This is a very good idea, and #2: if the temperature is around zero, you'd rather not take your gloves off, but it certainly isn't harmful to your iPod.
Lauren @ Jan 4th 2006 3:12PM
I don't know about other people, but I have an iPod mini and can use my click wheel just fine through gloves.
fatty joe @ Jan 4th 2006 3:23PM
depending on what activity the user is participating in, the ipod possibly but not probobally in a ideal enviornment, try this, stop bieng such a capitalistic pig, adn spend some of that money on someone else who needs gloves, then you can buy 2 pairs, one for yourself and one for someone in the cold who cant afford a friekne ipod, or even gloves...america gosh
HarpMudd @ Jan 4th 2006 3:24PM
This iPod thing is really getting out of control.
Jico @ Jan 4th 2006 3:26PM
However, I'd also rather not wear these things.
Jjeff @ Jan 4th 2006 3:28PM
Umm... a quick Googling shows the iPod's low temp range is 0 Celsius. I'd rather not take off my gloves if I had the choice.
Granted, the chance that you're smearing snow and dirt on your precious is THAT much higher. I wouldn't know, it's 75 F and sunny here.
no3rdw @ Jan 4th 2006 3:30PM
It's a good idea, the gloves just are ugly!
Matt Mulligan @ Jan 4th 2006 3:50PM
Darcy:
Of course these things aren't necessary, but why do things the uncomfortable way?
Matt @ Jan 4th 2006 5:20PM
My nano works fine with my 1.25-for-two-pairs ASDA "Magic Gloves" on.
These gloves are designed for kids but they actually fit adult hands too without about 1cm of extra finger - thats whats the magic is about!
Nick @ Jan 4th 2006 6:23PM
my leather gloves are great, can use my nano with them on, and can even alter the volume thru the material of my coat pocket - thus removing the need to take it out of my pocket.
Rob @ Jan 4th 2006 6:30PM
My Mini works fine with normal hiking gloves (merkalon) without any issue. As long as there's enough temperature difference between the finger and the pad there's no problem.
Obviously I'm not into mittens like some people ....
Luke @ Jan 4th 2006 9:24PM
duh. just use your nose.
