Verizon's new home networking gear not so new

Hey, it actually makes sense that Verizon starts pushing some home networking gear. After all, they've been hitting up the DSL space for a few years now. It's not like we were waiting for their hardware to do the home networking thing, however. We invited D-Link, Netgear and Linksys into our home LAN some time ago. Verizon must want an invite too, so they've just banded with Belkin to supply Verizon-branded routers and network adapters. Belkin will provide both the hardware and the tech support; watch for the new gear in your local Verizon retail shop. Here's hoping it's not just a complete rebadge; it's about time for a facelift on the flat, squatty Belkin routers we still see.
