Sony Vaio R, H, V and M launched in Japan

Despite sending seemingly its entire senior management team to CES, Sony hasn't completely abandoned the home base, and has rolled out a series of new Vaios for the Japanese market. The Type M is an all-in-one design with a flip-up keyboard, 15.4-inch display, 300GB drive and an only-in-Japan color palette of pastel pink, blue and white (well, maybe the white one will migrate west, but we don't expect to see the others). The Type V series also sports an all-in-one shape, with the focus on entertainment; both the 17-inch and 20-inch versions include digital satellite TV cards, analog tuners and remote controls, along with 3.2GHz P4s, 1GB RAM, 250GB of storage and dual-layer burners. The Type R and Type H models also have TV tuners, but come in tower configurations; the H also adds dual hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration, and comes with a Pentium D920 at 2.8GHz.
