We're still kickin' it live here in Hannover with more
hands-on action. This time, with the
BenQ-Siemens P51 smartphone. No
doubt, this phone has the looks and the specs come right to the edge. Problem is not
that EDGE -- this handset
goes GPRS-only, son. So get nostalgic for the little smartphone that never was and click on for more shots of this
Treo-killer that might still be.

Looks like a really slick phone, hopefully this time they'll actually release it in a timely fashion.
Any way we can get some pics or a hands-on of the ImCoSys Linux Smartphone that's making it's debut at CeBIT? I'd love to know more about it's Skinplex NFC features.
Thanks!

Finally! we've been through so much with the P50/51 - quite dissilusioned with it since we've been thinking about it for ages - and there's no 3G etc to set it above the rest although it's kinda the only device with a biggish screen and keyboard on one side so that makes it worth somethin. Anyway, it's not even out now so whatever.

Ahhh, BenQ. The kid who just can't quite get it right. Well, if at first (or second) you don't succeed, try, try again.
C'mon, guys. The world's been waiting for two YEARS for something from you. All this time passes, and no EDGE???

Could just be the angles of these pics, and maybe small hands, but this thing looks too tall and too thick, especially to hold up to the side of your head, but also to lug around in a pocket. It's the right form factor for me, but gimme the SGH-I320 for size. Or the Q. A taller screen is nice, but not if it makes the whole thing so tall. Maybe future versions could eliminate the empty space between the bottom of the screen and the nav buttons, and maybe also shave off some bulk above the screen.

Never before has "too little, too late", been so true. This thing is an antiquated brick at this point. BenQ clearly can't keep up or bring tangible products to market in the smartphone space...so, just aty out of the sandbox BenQ, you're getting your lunch eaten.
