Hitachi brings Jean-Paul Goude on board to create a new advertising campaign

Hitachi is bringing out the big guns now. They have enlisted Jean-Paul Goude's help to create a new, stunning advertising campaign to highlight what Hitachi has to offer with their plasma TVs. This man is a legend in the advertising game and it all started when he became Esquire magazine's art director at the ripe age of 25. Since then he has worked with Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton to create witty and eccentric campaigns for them; Hitachi hopes he will work his magic again. Hitachi really does make some great flat-panels, but they tend to cost a bit more then others. They simply need to make themselves more widely known in the consumers mind. When was the last time you saw a Hitachi plasma commercial? How about a print ad in a mainstream magazine like Time or Newsweek? Any chang to their marketing will be better as these are nice sets and they do deserve more recognition.
