HD DVD and Blu-ray releases on November 28, 2006
The holiday season is officially here and with any luck the your preferred format will win this battle in the latest format war. Both sides are getting serious, but Warner still seems to lead the pack and this week they release Superman Returns on both formats, just like Paramount did with MI:3 a few weeks ago. We missed last week when a few titles were released, most notably Ice Age for Blu-ray and You me and Dupree for HD DVD. All the same we have updated the totals to reflect this week and last's releases. HD DVD has maintained there ~20 title lead and at this point it doesn't appear it will be possible for Blu-ray to catch up to them by the end of the year or even CES 07. We can't say we are too surprised with studios like Fox not releasing that many titles.
