Mii Spotlight: Mishmash edition

Well, folks, this is likely to be the very last week for Mii Spotlight. It's been fun while it lasted, and this week, we thought we'd check out some of the Miis that have been sent in over time but were never used -- either because there wasn't an appropriate theme edition, or they were received after the appropriate week, and there weren't enough others to revisit the topic.

We've loved having this chance to look at your work -- it's made us a little excited for the Check Mii Out channel!

In true "mishmash" spirit, there's no theme for this final week -- we're just going to show off some of the leftover Miis we have hanging around, as they were too great to not share. First and foremost, since we are after all Nintendo fans, we have a Mario and Luigi, courtesy of reader Timerider:

Next up, from Mii Spotlight favorite Ali420, we've got representations of George Clinton and the late Jerry Garcia. Not only is Ali420 great at putting together Miis, but he always chooses interesting subjects for his work! Everybody needs a friend like him to trade codes with, just to fill up your Plaza.

One submission we saw a lot of was Albert Einstein. After all, he certainly fits the bill when it comes to people with a unique look who make great Miis, even though the interface restricts really crazy hair a little. We thought this one, which came courtesy of reader Michael, was one of the best we saw. He really managed to capture a lot of personality with what is, over all, a pretty simple Mii. Nice work! All that's missing is a blackboard covered with equations and maybe some chalk dust drifting about. Educate us, Mr. Mii!

We got another great old genius Mii as well, from reader Jonathan, who was heavily featured in our week of ugly Miis. He sent us this Benjamin Franklin Mii that we just couldn't resist sharing:

Jonathan also sent us another Mii we just had to share -- the Crow. Definitely creative work!

Speaking of comic books -- you did know The Crow franchise started as a comic, right? -- we thought this next Mii sent in by reader Antwon would be a great way to send our Mii Spotlight off. After all, we like comics ... so we can't help but appreciate the man who was responsible for so many of the great comics and comic heroes we cut our pop cultural teeth on: Stan Lee!

Thank you, Mr. Lee. Please take us out.

We hope you enjoyed seeing the Miis we've put in this weekly spotlight over the last few months. We've certainly enjoyed the experience, and we'll still be watching sites like Mii Plaza, because you just never know what will turn up.
