Pentax's 645 Digital is real, too good for us
We were a smidge bummed that we couldn't manhandle Pentax's leg-sized 645 Digital -- which was trapped in a bubble -- but perhaps it was for the best. We're sure they could sense we'd all want to have a Nigel Barker moment, when really we should be focusing on the fact that this camera can shoot 31.6 friggin megapixels. It should be out later this year -- not as though you'll be able to afford it. Well, not you Bill, just pretty much everybody else.

Umm, so I was thinking, How big of a file would that raw data file be if you had 24 bit color. it is just over 758 MB. I am real glad we have large flash cards around nowadays.

really? a raw file in 16 bit color would be about 25MB, assuming it has the same resolution as the Phase One P30

I have been a devoted Pentax user since 1978. I currenly own ZX 5N, K-1000, 645N, and ist*D. I have been well pleased with Pentax pricing, but I am concerned that the 645D will be overpriced. If it cost more that $5,000.00 for the body I will not buy it.
