One Work.. Woah.
Strange that everyone is so eager to upgrade to Santa Rosa.
By Anandtech's tests, the performance of the new platform is a mere few % above the previous platform. I myself am hopeful that the newer integrated graphics X3100 will be slightly less anemic than the GMA 950.

But alas, it's not reality that matters when companies markets a new platform to essentially sell the same thing twice.
@StevO
Actually i guess most people are eager cause manufacturers were waiting for Santa Rosa to be released, before putting in the Dx10 cards. Atleast nVidia was
*shakes an Apple* "Come on little buddy, you can do it! I'm due for a new laptop and if you just update the macbookpro to Santa Rosa and that new nvidia GPU I'll get you instead of an Asus G1S."
You "stole" our idea ;)

Honestly, yeah, there are still some pretty big heavy hitters who haven't made the switch yet (and even some of the announced models won't be available til June or July, at least with dedicated GPU's, etc.). No updated Inspirons or XPS laptops yet; the desirable Asus stuff isn't really due out til June and July.
How come some brands claim that they are using santa rosa technology but they don't actually put a cpu with FBS 800MHz in the laptops? Am I misunderstanding something?
why the lack of 17" laptops with good graphics processors
i am looking for a santa rosa that is
a)17"
b)has at least 512MB and DX10 graphics
c)robson
d)N-wireless
e) no high-def media drive (too expensive for something that will become very obsolete very quickly)
the zepto 6625WD would be perfect if it was 17" and i can't see why they have 4 15" models and 4 14" models without anything 17"
(i know it says it has a HD-DVD drive but the offical site only sells them with DVD drives)
