Like it or not whiners this is the future of storage technology and in a few years time mechanical Hard Drives will be phased out in favour of Solid State storage! The advantage of Solid State devices being they have no moving parts to wear out and no eletric motors to spin drive platters to suck battery power! I've read that with these new drives you can see an extra 30 minutes out of a laptop battery and It's only going to get better! So instead of whining about price which will inevitably decrease as demand increases, think about how this technology will change the future making for more reliable, more efficient and eventually more cost effective storage solutions where low power consumption is required, especially in laptops!
