Sony's Cyber-shot T200 and T70 get officialer

Sweet Jeebus, just look at that. That's the clean, sexy backside of Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-T200 -- all official and turned out for your insolent, touch-screen grubbing pleasures. We won't bother covering all the specs again. After all, what's important here isn't the quality of the snaps, it's how good you'll look while shooting 'em. The DSC-T200 and its DSC-T70 little bro ship in September for $400 and $300, respectively -- pre-orders start tomorrow.

Really at this point and those prices, with a screen that big, these things should be touch screen with a headphone jack capable of playing movies, photos and music.

I have a T30 and I had a T1 for a long time. I've tried screen protectors but they always seem to fall off or peel off in transit. I keep my T in my pocket. Maybe I just need a manpurse or some storage sling or whatever. I don't want a holster, those belt clips annoy me.

Sorry I fired that off before reading the other comments.

I have a sample and the handle is extremely solid and easy to hang it around your neck, the touch screen does smudge pretty easily, but I'll take the larger viewer over a few a few fingerprints any day.

The touch screen is very responsive and I think it is easy to use.

This is just my personal opinion...

Question - the t100 is about the best, most noise free, ultra compact ever - is ther e reason to believe that the t200 will not be at least as good i.e. are the photo taking technologies/specs the same?

I just bought the sony T200 and it is the ultimate compact camera on the market right now. The touch screen is huge and easy to use and the pictures are even better. This camera rocks on the canon sd 750, 850.
