I couldn't care less about a new iPod cause I got myself an iPhone. And therefore, to that extent:

i dont think that the nano fatty thing is gonna replace the current nano...I think it will be like an inbetween model between the touch video and the new 16bg nano. The fatty will have video playback, while the nanos form factor and capabilities wont be toched, only its memory. Also, the touch will be 160gb. No clue if we will; be seeing the beatles on itunes or not tho.
Hoping to see a touch screen 80GB iPhone-less iPod with 3.5" and WI-FI and BT (probably no built in bt, but hoping they don't go Flash and have to "downgrade" to get a touch screen, seems dumb to me, I wouldn't downgrade a 80GB video Gen 5 for a 16GB touch screen no way...BUT, with BT, and Wi-Fi and Touch, hmmm...maybe I would.... it would be temtpting for sure. hahaha on and on and on and on, who knows, it's apple love em or hate em, me both.....it's a love/hate relationship!!! OH!! and iPhone for CDMA!!!! yeah right....

I'd like to see an iPod Hi-Fi with integrated AirPort Express, and an iPod with Wi-Fi that allows the iPod to act as the controller for the music streaming to the Hi-Fi.

Should new ipods come out as expected what do you guys think the odds are that I would be able to get one basically for free with the macbook + ipod combo apple is currently running? The deal is that if you buy a macbook before Sep 16th you get $200 off the ipod of your choice, if apple puts the new ipods up for sale on the 5th I'm guessing they should be available as part of the promotion. Basically what matters is whether on top of announcing new ipods apple puts them up for sale on the 5th, but they basically always put new items for sale immediately after announcement (with the iphone as a notable exception of course,) right?
No, I don't think so. Apple is doing that to deplete stock of old ipods, but hey you can get the "old" ipod and sell it for half the price before the new ones are on the shelfs, and u can get your new ipod touch.

Has anyone heard anything about new ACD's?? I'd love to get one of these when they come out and hoping it will be LED backlit. And as for the new iPods, wouldn't a flash memory drive be a good thing, ie. more reliable. Ofcourse the capacity would be somewhere around the 16GB mark, but still, is it not a step in the right direction in terms of technological progress?
I'm also among the masses hoping for an iphone like ipod experience with this next generation of ipods but more so I would like to see a video player that can go the distance for international travel. I currently rely on several devices to provide uninterrupted entertainment for extended travel. A 30g Video ipod, a new shuffle, a Treo 700w, and a 12". I would love to have a device that could get through 3 or 4 movies on one charge.
Heres what they should release:
New line of PC's that dont have a price/performance ratio that are sky high.
Cinema Displays that have better specs and display quality than a Sceptre monitor at Tiger Direct.
Cinema Displays that dont force the user to get a new modern desk at ikea and put absolutely nothing on it except the monitor, apple keyboard and apple mouse, as well as a small plant because you care about the environment.
A new iPod that doesnt only serve to get high school girls wet when they see it.
New headphones that are butt-ugly and finally force users to tuck that crap into their clothes, or at least below their coat, even in the winter.
A new software update for the iPhone that puts GPS, HSDPA connectivity or anything better than EDGE, a 2.0+ megapixel camera. Wait, is that possible?
Mid and Low-end PC's which arnt just laptops stuffed into small form factors. If i wanted a laptop, i would buy one.
Eliminate Games For Mac, which is a complete disaster if you dont wish to sell high-end video cards with your PC's (considering the only PC you can install a high end card into is over $2500, and you have to take of the that yourself)

What sort of performance are you talking about. iMacs almost never freeze (only do when the have xp installed) and do everything normal people need them for. To boot, they have one of the lowest price/performance ratios around anyway.

You're an idiot. You seem to be telling apple to make an uglier display so that it makes you feel more secure about your ugly desk and lifestyle.

Confirmed, you're an idiot. The iPhone doesn't have a GPS chip, nor HSDPA capability, or anything better than edge. It could of course include some kind of cell based navigation, but would be limited to areas where 3 or more towers are in range. The camera is already 2.0 megapixels. And if you weren't a total idiot, you would know that megapixels don't mean much above 2.

Come on! Iphone-like Ipod would not steal profits from the iPhone. Look, an iPhone requires a $60/month service contact for 2 years. An Ipod will be $349 or $399. NO OVERLAP of markets.
