Iocell kicks out waterproof MDrive USB key in Korea
Sure, we've seen USB drives that shun water like it's their job before, but Iocell's iteration of the waterproof flash drive comes in a nearly irresistible package. This ultrathin drive makes for an excellent keychain adornment, and the Taegeuk pattern -- reportedly honed for this device by Young-Se Kim, CEO of INNO Design -- leaves no doubt that this sucka is aimed squarely at South Koreans. The MDrive is reportedly set to launch this week, and while the 1GB edition will run you ?39,000 ($42), the 2GB flavor will ring up at ?59,000 ($63). That's really sweet. Is it just me or posting first doesn't feel as great as people make it look...
You just don't have the style of a true first poster. You need something pithy which encapsulates the article, whilst being humorous without being terse.
Like the rest of the "1st post!!!! wooot!" ?
Exactly! I see you have the "gift" - use it wisely and often.
sucka in russian isn't pleasant word at all (despite how you read it) :-P
Well, I incidentally discovered that my no-name USB stick is washing machine proof.
I reckon there must be something special in being ONLY waterproof, that sets this contraption apart from a regular water-and-suds-proof variety.
Most flash drives I've used have survived 6+ washer AND drier runs. Mine is dang near indestructable, and it's just a run of the mill cruzer mini. I've bent the usb port to a 60 degree angle, run it through the wash many a time, sat on it, dropped it, ect. and it's still ticking.
I don't think it should be ticking...
Wow, alomost as small as the Sony Micro Vault Tiny, and yeah, aren't all flash drives "water proof", as long as yu dry them off befor plugging them in, of course :)
That looks pretty sweet.
Cool!
