Mio releases its C620 and C620t PNDs with 3D maps
Mio's been generating some buzz with its new C620 series of personal navigation devices, thanks to their innovative digital elevation mapping and preloaded landmarks which allow for a 3D experience that trumps most other products on the market. Well the 4.3-inch C620 and TMC-equipped C620t are finally available for purchase, although pricing wasn't set in the announcement, probably because these split-screen Bluetooth units are being sold in a number of European countries but not where we want them most, right here in the good old US of A.

well, there you go. not sold in US. and you're pissed. I think you may know how we fell when we're not getting any of your giveaways...
and since when is the US of A "good old" ? it's hard to find a building that would be older than my grandma in the states...
Since when does the age of a building have to do with anything? It's hard to find a building older than *me* in Tokyo, and you're going to tell me that means Japan is a young country?
think of it as a metaphor...I'm talking about the whole country. I'm pointing out that calling a country with no real history before around 1500 "good old" isn't a smart idea :)
well i give it two weeks before the community dedicated to mio hacks has it available for those of us with other mios like my 320 which is doing way more now than it did out of the box a few weeks ago
fyi, the 320 and 520 also support tmc, but the cradle is only available in the EU (so one could order one online possibly to have shipped stateside)
Here in Belgium, it's the best selling thing.
"Good old US"...
You have the iPhone, we don't (or have to pay $900 for it) :-(
And damn, I want one !!
Greetzzz,
Jochen
Just found a live demo of Mio's latest satnav with 3D maps on Youtube. The 3D landmarks look amazing.
