everyone should boycot this movie until they can explain to us why wall-e is a pre-teen copy of our original favorite robot - Johnny #5.
Johnny #5 can go get disassembled. Wall-E is my new favorite.
Agreed. You can't tell me they didn't design wall-e with influence from Johnny 5.

you guys are kidding right? besides the almost-no-semi-resemblance of the eyes, the tracks are what's similar. Let's not forget Johnny-5 was as tall as a human, whereas Wall-E is like 1/5 the size. It's like a mirror image!

youve all got it wrong! if Johnny 5 inspired Wall-e where was Johnny 5 inspired from? Short circuit is from 1986, but before that, there was the nintendo r.o.b.(1984) who bares a striking resemblance to WallE. so thats where its from!

I can't wait to see this movie. Pixar is usually good and there's something about a totally innocent robot that makes him awesome!

It'd take a little while to figure it out, but if you look closely on the trailer, the brands match. I lol'ed at their 'core values' page under 'our company.'
I thought WALL-E looked like Johnny No 5 too but after seeing Short Circuit last night. He really looks nothing like him. Appart from his tracks.
