Tip of the Day: EQ2 Epics

Reached the endgame in EverQuest 2? You're not really uber until you have your epic weapon. Find out how!

You may recall that when the last expansion for EverQuest II - Rise of Kunark - was released, the promised Epic Weapons were not a part of the content drop. The SOE developers held those items back, wanting to offer experiences that were truly epic in nature. There was a great deal of discussion prior to their addition to the game, including a great interview on the subject, a teaser video (below) and even some discussion here on the site. Now that the Epics have been in-game for some time, how to obtain them is a pretty well known commodity.

So why don't you have yours? Head over to Allakhazam for the full list of Epic Weapon Quests. Each one begins a harrowing journey into some of the most difficult content EQ2 has to offer. Your initial Epic - still a fine tool - will be obtainable in a small group. In order to get the full experience, though, you'll need to travel to the very furthest of the high end content in a gaggle of groups for real raiding glory. Give it a shot just the same - you may be the next person to make Norrath hold its breath.
