Bungie: New H3 achievements part of title update

As part of their Weekly Update, Bungie has finally addressed the Halo 3 achievements rumor that sprung up during PAX, confirming that 10 new achievements worth an additional 250 Gamerscore will be added to Halo 3 as part of the (newly delayed) September 25th title update. Achievements that are mostly related to the Legendary map pack and a few 0 Gamerscore achievements that are "Vidmaster Challenges". Check the break for the complete list.

BUT there's one glaring mystery that isn't fully addressed, and that's the other mysterious H3 achievements that were photographed during PAX. In their update, Bungie does admit the 10 title update achievements "aren't the only achievements we're adding" but that "there's not a whole lot else we're going to say" regarding the other achievement content. Sneaky. Suspicious. Juicy.

So, we are guaranteed to get an additional 250 Gamerscore and 10 achievements for Halo 3 later this month, but we're still clueless to when or how Assembly will release, what all that Mythic talk was and why we can't haz Recon. Too many questions and absolutely zero answers.

• Vidmaster Challenge: Lightswitch (0GS) – Get to the rank of Lieutenant in any playlist in the new EXP progression system.

• Vidmaster Challenge: 7 on 7 (0GS) – Enter into any ranked or social playlist with 7 EXP on the 7th of the month.

• Vidmaster Challenge: Annual (0GS) – After 9/25/08, complete Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts.

• Double Double (25GS) – On a Legendary map, get two Double Kills during any ranked or social match.

• Poor Yorick (25GSs) – On a Legendary map, get 3 Oddball melee kills during any ranked or social match.

• Came...From...Behind (50GS) – On a Legendary map, get 3 assassinations during any ranked or social match.

• Defend This (50GS) – On a Legendary map, get a flag melee kill during any ranked or social match.

• Flag Dropped (25GS) – On a Legendary map, get 2 flag carrier kills during any ranked or social match.

• Road Rage (25GS) – On a Legendary map, get 5 Warthog chaingun kills during any ranked or social match.

• Look Both Ways (50GS) – On a Legendary map, get a Splatter Spree during any ranked or social match.
