Always excited about VAIO T series here. So, yes I want that "Monday" to get here.
I second that.
I can't wait for Monday as well. If thew new TT is what I am hoping for, then I will buy it!
M
And to top it all, Halo 3 update on Monday!
Monday release date = FAIL.
Unless of course you are trying to launch silently because you aren't proud of your achievement (*cough* Google Chrome *cough*).
Wait, what?
Monday != FAIL
Its just another day for the uninspiring, but solid Vaio brand. You can be sure its going to be a good looking, well built machine which fulfils its ultra portable role better than 99% of the other machines out there.
Why is monday a bad release date? You don't do mondays?
@GON
No human can do Mondays.
well i find google chrome great! it's very fast! i may not have my firefox addons but pages load up so much faster that its worth it.
A well built Vaio? How long was I asleep?
Could this possibly be the netbook?
Yeah. Sony's first netbook. Lets see what Sony has got. But I bet its going to have the Sony price, so the sales is going to be hindered greatly. Who would pay double for the same config that others offer.!
TT will come to europe in november ...
Please please have a resolution higher than 1024x600
This won't be their netbook, it will be the successor to their Vaio TZ series, so expect a price close to $2000 as an entry level price and using the Intel SU9300/SU9400 processors with 11.1" WXGA screen and 1366x768 resolution.
Most don't care about it, but there are a select few of us that do, myself included.
Awesome! I've been waiting so long to replace my T1XP, would've got the new Z but slightly too big, i hope the new TT has the same specs as the Z, like the HDMI, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and Centrino 2... lets hope all together.
Hard to believe this is going to "replace" the TZ series... it's not that old.
Not that old, and certainly why the TZ still costs a pretty penny. But a Centrino 2 refresh will be nice (honestly, 1.33ghz just doesn't cut it anymore even for ultraportables), and hopefully Sony can bring down the price a notch.
The TT series will use the SU9300 and SU9400 processors, clocked at 1.2 and 1.4ghz respectively, so not a big boost in speed. But these are 45nm vs 65nm in the current ultra low voltage processors the TZ uses, so there should be a nice improvement in battery life and less heat generated. Maybe also a slimmer and lighter case design.
I've had my TZ over a year now, so I suppose it's not that unexpected. Still sad though, as I wont be upgrading!
I'm more than happy with my recalled/serviced TZ! ;)
love my TZ, 2-3y/o. great laptop, worth every penny for it's ultraportability. only knock is the cpu power is not up to par with today's software. I still love my tz.
I personally am hating monday. Being that the warehouse that packages theses will be crazy. You can't
imagine how small the packaging for the JTJ models are.
sony should shake up the market by selling these at $99
