Screen Grabs: Blackberry Bold located in 'Without a Trace'
Screen grabs chronicles the uses (and misuses) of real-world gadgets in today's movies and TV. Send in your sightings (with screen grab!) to screengrabs at engadget dt com.

The crew on Without a Trace may not have all the high-tech investigative toys found on channel-mate CSI, but one of the guest characters in last night's episode apparently has an in at AT&T, getting himself a Blackberry Bold (complete with evidence) ahead of its American release -- which may or may not be this month.

Why exactly do we care that a mainstream consumer electronic appears on mainstream TV?
I'm just wondering.
I second Jeff's comment. A Screen Grab might be interesting in the case of The Dark Knight and the Tube, but few of us really care which cell phones Noah Bennet and Jack Bauer use.
If it's an iPhone, you'll say woo
but when it comes to BBB, it's different
No backlit buttons while playing video?
No Verizon? :(
Verizon = Fail
this is not an appropriate pic plz remove. hide pedophilia plz
Hilariousness. Apparently non-existent fictional universes get the Bold before the US.
So you're talking about Chile right?
I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of this "Chailay"
Imagine if the guy next to you on the subway was watching that video on his Blackberry Bold. I'd be creeped out.
I got to play with one last week & entered to win one. Yay.
Why does that lady look like the Joker?
what are you smoking?!
She has a Gag in her mouth
Hey, I have that same wallpaper!
It's simply another case of Product Placement raising it's ugly head.
NBC shows (or their writers) are the worst at it, they are so obvious.

The bold appeared on this weeks episode of Do Not Disturb.
What, no ninja sighting with this one?
Mr. Blurrycam has expanded to kidnappings.
AT&T must have a standing placement contract. They used to feature the iPhone in nearly every damn episode. Instead of flashing glossy 4x6 family photos and mug shots, they would jam an iPhone in the witness's face to ask "have you seen this man?"
One of the Law and Orders was doing the same thing...
We have them here in the UK. Not really impressed. Cheap feeling build quality. New UI is nothing to write home about.
I don't know why it's such a big deal, but in Vietnam I've seen the Bold in quite a few places. It's going for around $800 here though
I saw one casually sitting on a table in a restaurant 2 weeks ago in Dallas, TX. At first I thought it was surprising, then I thought I'd missed the release. Now I know that girl was highlighting her John Mayer connection.
