AT&T Fuze hitting on November 11 for $299.99?
We figured those dummies probably meant something good was about to happen, and sure enough, evidence is building that we're just days away from an official Fuze release. Boy Genius Report has been ever so graciously provided with documentation suggesting that we'll see HTC's latest WinMo greatness on AT&T shelves come November 11 (just a day after the Quickfire) for $299.99 after contract and rebate discounts have been applied -- or a solid $499.99 if you want to kick it commitment-free. That pricing is right in line with the Bold, making for an interesting, drama-rich showdown heading into the end of the year. Fight!

htd @ Nov 6th 2008 3:22PM

kjb434 @ Nov 6th 2008 3:29PM
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
greygabe @ Nov 6th 2008 4:54PM
There are a few already...
The problem is WinMo is still better because its designed for big buttons, touchscreens/scrollers, etc
XP phones are just...novelty (Now what I want is WinMo with USB host support!!!)
David @ Nov 6th 2008 3:23PM
Nice, although I was really hoping for the Omnia at at&t.
I've had the Tilt, 8525, 8125, Sx66, I'm ready for a new form factor.
digitallysick @ Nov 6th 2008 3:23PM
Do want , i think im going to jump on it. Although i am not a fan of windows mobile , but at least it shoudl have more app choices than my nokia
therpham @ Nov 6th 2008 3:42PM
Oh how I want this phone, but I honestly probably wouldn't use a ton of the features, so I'll most likely just get one of their keyboard-equipped feature phones next time I upgrade.
Sandra @ Nov 6th 2008 4:04PM
What's to fight about, ones completely totaly awesome.....and the other's a Blackberry
Scott @ Nov 6th 2008 4:41PM
What are the downfalls of the Fuze again? Other than being on ATT.
wuzy @ Nov 6th 2008 5:00PM
No front cam
Richard @ Nov 6th 2008 5:24PM
I hear it's a tad chunky too.. if that matters to you.
I think a little junk in the trunk is worth it for that keyboard.
Mile @ Nov 6th 2008 6:41PM
@Wuzy - I've read it does have a front cam. And the one on back has a flash.
Mile @ Nov 6th 2008 7:04PM
Damn it! Looks like ATT did remove the front cam. But more importantly, it looks like they removed the FM radio. I was really looking forward to having the FM radio in it! *angry*
Atom Override @ Nov 6th 2008 4:47PM
Meh, I already have it. You poor saps have to wait.
mailbox01 @ Nov 6th 2008 4:59PM
Can't wait to get it! My Tilt been getting long in the tooth and I can't stand the iPhone. This will keep me happy until Touch HD becomes available in the US.
Brian @ Nov 6th 2008 5:05PM
yayy i cant wait been dying for this way too long
and my 8525 is simply dying
touch HD will not come here unless you import it and you wont get 3g
DoomGaZer @ Nov 6th 2008 5:38PM
Two things:
1. How does this stack against that Quickfire thing they keep mentioning? (do we even have the specs on it yet?)
2. Will HTC be producing a Touch Pro that you can buy unlocked AND has North American 3G? (for those that actually want the front cam)
proto732 @ Nov 6th 2008 5:49PM
has AT&T done away with the one year contract subsidized pricing?
Brandon @ Nov 6th 2008 6:56PM
I work for AT&T dealer store Cellular Express. The Fuze is on our cost sheet for $470. What this means is that with a contract the Fuze will cost $390 - $50 mail in rebate = $340. Without a contract the phone will cost around $599. Hope this helps.
pathfinda @ Nov 6th 2008 7:23PM
..ABOUT TIME!!!
Will be the first in line on Tuesday morning!!!
Hero @ Nov 6th 2008 7:46PM
BEST bday present ever!
Ted @ Nov 7th 2008 2:01AM
A $300 price tag after rebates applied would not be in line with the bold at all since the bold is 199 after rebates have been applied.
cwj @ Nov 7th 2008 8:56AM
Oh, how I wish there was a GSM alternative to T-Mo (coverage) and AT&T (in general).
Where oh, where is the competition.
Have any cripplings or non-deletable, vendor-specific program-anations been identified for the Fuze yet?
cwj @ Nov 7th 2008 9:06AM
Oops, fell asleep before confirming. No FM? Not a killer, but disappointing, indeed.
BRICKCITY @ Nov 8th 2008 10:15AM
Smt5600,8125,TILT, next TOUCH HD or nothing till I see what Windows Mobile 6.5 looks like!!!
FUZE? The name alone doesn't even sound right!
Chuck @ Nov 17th 2008 5:43PM
I was in AT&T store on 11/15/08 and the kid running the store told me that the FUZE had a blackberry client. I don't see such specs on AT&T site. Does FUZE have a BES client?? Was this kid just full of poop?

My 8125 might be replaced soon, not sure if I want to break such a strong emotional bond after 3 years
