I like the white as well but the silver keyboard is a killer. I had the Bronze version with the same keyboard and it was miserable to use it under low-light. The white backlight doesn't contrast at all with the silver keys and makes the keys difficult to see. No thanks!

Not only is white the stereotypical color of sheep, it's always been the color choice for the personality-challenged for ages. Seems like in the 80's you couldn't open your eyes without seeing a billion sedans (which already are vanilla in design) painted bright white. Seems like anything trendy or "safe" (aka personality-free) is usually white.

And at least the official version has white buttons as well. Colorware's only button color option is black (heh, talking about racists).

It has a rubberized back, and a plastic front. It fits very comfortably in your hand.

Bothering to remember arbitrary numbers and letters that form words is so 20th century. Take an HCI class, Gutenberg.
Why do they keep showing screen shots with that big nasty clock in the middle of the screen? Not only is it ugly clutter, there's a digital time readout right above it, making it totally pointless.
Because they have widgets and those 3D thingies too! Just like the iPhone. You see, the clock (to Android) shows the 'me too' crowd that they can do neato widgets, just like.....
I agree. It reminds me of a Salvador Dali painting. Maybe that is the surreal look they are going for? Windows 7 has the same thing.

My friend got an unlocked iPhone a couple days ago. It's on ebay this second. He traded it for a G1.
