Engadget HD Podcast 117 - 01.09.2009: CES Edition

CES opened up on Thursday, and we gathered the team to recap the developments in the HD-sphere so far. Yahoo has vaulted itself right onto the living room screen with the widespread take-up of its Internet@TV widget platform across several manufacturers. The EchoStar/DISH/Sling gang also has some pretty interesting developments, with Sling placeshifting tech getting sprinkled throughout the product lineup. There's oodles more HD-related gear, but we also talk large themes, most notably 3D and Blu-ray getting into the mainstream. We'll be here all week, so expect more updates in the next podcast, after we get a chance to see what's on the show floor.
