iHome showcases iP29 / iP49 / iHMP5 iPod speaker systems
iLuv already dropped a bundle of iPod alarm clock / speaker systems here at CES, so it follows logic for yet another "i" company to dole out a helping of its own. Kicking things off is the iP29 portable speaker case, and stepping up the excitement level from zilch to one is the iP49 rechargeable audio system with alarm clock / FM radio for iPod and iPhone. Lastly, the iHMP5 two-in-one stereo speaker / headphone system enables users to listen in private or enter into "full speaker mode" for the posse to tune in. As with most everything else announced here at CES, pricing and availability have yet to be revealed.

just trolling around, the usual first thing...wanted to try it out :]
Is anyone else completely annoyed with the names of these companies who make mp3 / ipod accessories? Seriously, iLuv?
no nat at all, i dont care about names. ihome has this remote control dock for office, with removBLE RECHARGEABLE SPEAKERS N 1 SUBWOOFER WITH FM RADIO.,$75 AT COSTCO. IHOME.COM .turns out ipod, iphone have more dockabilty/car integration remote control devices than any other mp3/cell phone in the history of al times, thats a fact.
I received the iP99BX as a Christmas gift, and was pleasantly surprised by the functionality, sound quality and the overall device. It's not completely intuitive to use, but after missing a couple of wake-ups and reading the instructions I really like it.
Anyway, my experience is that their stuff is decent quality for the money...
OMG CHINA! ENOUGH with the stupid iPod speaker/dock combos! The Circuit City in NYC has like 500 different ones. I think their buyer has a fetish or OCD.
Did anyone else read that as typical engadget humor:
iHome showcases iP29 / iP49 / iHumps iPod
(I was wondering how it ihumped the ipod, then re-read....next time, less skimming, more reading)

When I first looked at this I was wondering why somebody put their iPhone in a George Foreman grill.
Does anyone actually use these? I mean when would you use it? The iPhone already has internal speakers, and then you have headphones.
