Alltel rolls out Palm Treo Pro

Alltel is set to play catch up with both Bell and Sprint with news today of its Palm's Treo Pro launch. Pricing is listed on the Alltel page at $519 less a $195 online discount and $125 mail-in rebate which settles this handset's price down to $199. Nice to see Alltel at least matching Sprint's offering, as our northern neighbor's price on Bell -- for the same term -- is about $300. If you've been waiting for something new on the Alltel Windows Mobile front, we'd hazard a guess this just may be it.

For a minute I thought it was going to be named
Palm Treo Preo
Treo
Let's see if this old dog has one last hunt in it before Ol' Yeller is taken behind the shed.
My thoughts exactly.
I can't wait till pre is rolled out at $350 on 2 year term with $99 month minimum data/voice plan,. Let's see who pulls the trigger to buy it, a handful will,. Who would with those prices ,,??
Hey Shugg, nobody cares.
Wow, I love that you know the pricing for the Pre already!
/Sarcasm
How is bluetooth still a "feature" ??
because Apple made "removeable battery" a feature
@from my cube good one, lol
Wifi???
Did you read the linked article?
Who cares about WiFi, I don't see why people make such a huge deal out of it. If you have unlimited data why even bother putting the feature in? The past few phones i had WiFi on i probably used it twice in a 3 year span.
What the?!!!u only used wifi 2 times in 3 years ,. What a dee dee deee!!!insane I surf wifi daily at 10-15 mbps. Must suck to browse at dial speeds on a cell.
If Verizon owns Alltel now, why can't I buy this?
You can't buy it because you're in a divested market. Now go lay down...
It would probably be a better choice to wait for the pre to be released. Escpecially now that we know it will support flash.
It's almost like there are no browsers on Windows Mobile that support Flash...
(/sarcasm)
WHERE IS THE PRE??? GRrrrrrrr!!
Well, I think we have one thing for certain...
It isn't in this article.
Doesn't verizon own alltell now?
so could verizon people get in on this?
'bout time. This thing has been on the Alltel website for a while now.
Really who is going to buy this with the Pre coming out. Why is Palm putting out anything besides the Pre?
