Screen Grabs: Nikon's D90 nearly an accessory to murder
Screen grabs chronicles the uses (and misuses) of real-world gadgets in today's movies and TV. Send in your sightings (with screen grab!) to screengrabs at engadget dt com.

One thing's for sure -- the producers of Life sure know how to weave modern day technology into the storyline. Just a few weeks back we saw a Time Capsule with all sorts of sordid evidence, and this week we witnessed a Nikon D90 + SB-600 combo nearly being an accessory to murder. But look, if this thing is good enough to shoot dead people, it's probably good enough to photograph your cousin's bar mitzvah.

I think there is a Nikon Camera on every episode of CSI, pretty sure some are D200s. I'm sure someone could screen capture it too, but there are so many episodes of CSI where they take photos, that it's not really that interesting.
Yes.... those sure are "D"s
nah i think they're B's... wait which one ur talking about???
Funny, I just finished watching my recording of the show, clicked on engadget, and here this is!
Way to be on top of things... althought i'm not sure how this is really important...
I would've shot the bitch first time she flashed me with the thing!
The funniest thing about the episode was:
"Does your phone have a camera in it?"
"Yeah, it's 5 megapixels"
iPhone....HAHAHAHAHAHA!
lol
me and my sis lol'd a lot after she used her iPhone after bragging 5MP is very high quality.
I think they were hinting at the 3rd gen iphone that's predicted to be coming out this summer with the new 3.0 software to have a 5 mp camera on it. that's why they paid so much attention to it but covered all but the front of the phone.
Yeah that was hilarious! It was clearly an iPhone considering how close they zoomed in to the thing.
I watched that episode. Cruze (Cruise?) or any cop for that matter was stupid for not carrying a flashlight. They would have had a surefire, streamlight or similar if they had ever been in a similar situation before.
It was a weak episode, imo. Was the oriental-asian woman once on some Star Trek series? (Enterprise?)
... checking...

Yep. I only watched like one episode of that. Good memory.

"She also guest-starred in the 25 March 2009 episode of NBC's Life. "
It's CREWS. And just because I like fruit doesn't make me fruity.
Oriental-asian woman? Granddad please.
Well my Indian friends make a habit of stating they are Asian. They differentiate by calling China/Japan orientals. I don't care. I just did not know when I typed that which she is. And I certainly could not recall her character's name. I didn't even get Crews correct. But I watched her in that episode, and she was great. My first thought is she should get a good role in another show. Then later I thought I remembered her from the one episode of Enterprise I had seen. I love Bakula, but even that could not get me to watch such a crappy show. Southeast Asian?
That's a D80, not a D90.
What's that yellow glow eminating from the crotch of that statue? Mine doesn't do that. OK, I know it's the guy's TV, but it makes me laugh.
Yeah-- and why, in gallery pic #3, does the yellow light seem to be copping a feel? Anyone care to give a lazy poster (moi) a plot summary? Spoilers are fine, too.
