NintendoWare Weekly: Contra ReBirth, Super Return of the Jedi
Happy Labor Day! To celebrate the occasion, Nintendo offers a WiiWare game that is guaranteed to be hard work. That's what Labor Day is about, right? Doing as much labor as possible? Nintendo certainly isn't taking the day off, bringing us a decent number of downloads (relative to our lowered expectations). The list is available after the break.

Clubhouse Games Express: Family Favorites (Nintendo, 1-8 players, 500 DSi Points): If you loved Clubhouse Games but hated being able to select more than Hearts, Contract Bridge, Dominoes, Dots and Boxes, and Ludo, this is the game for you. If you don't have Clubhouse Games, this is even more appropriate!
WiiWare
Contra ReBirth (Konami, 1-2 players, 1,000 Wii Points): Konami's "ReBirth" series of new 16-bit-style franchise entries continues with this one. It's got two-player co-op, so you and a friend can spend the day dying together! Repeatedly.
ColorZ (Exkee, 1-3 players, 700 Wii Points): This game for up to three features a color absorption mechanic like the one found in Ikaruga. If it features difficulty like Ikaruga, see above for a prediction of how the day will be spent.
Virtual Console
Super Return of the Jedi (SNES 1 player, 800 Wii Points): Nintendo sure got through this series in a hurry. This one should be pretty familiar to anyone who played Super Star Wars or Empire Strikes Back, but it's got the best character selection -- one that, with a debug code, can be completely opened up, allowing any character in any level. Turns out Wicket the Ewok is a lot more capable than that Skywalker guy.
