Nokia X6 gets set up for FCC testing, torn down for kicks
You've seen what the Nokia X6 looks like in glamorous press shots and some impromptu hands-on snaps to boot. Now it's time for the FCC to have its way with the thing, bringing its special flavor of "celebrity caught at 7:00am without her makeup on" style of photography. The 32GB smartphone sports a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen and is slated to ship sometime before the end of the year for 459 Euros ($650). With FCC certification out of the way, Nokia should have no problem getting this into American pockets before we run out of months.

"459 Euros " Because it "Comes with music"
You had me at capacitive!
Damn it......The ? in the above comment should be a ! If you happen to read this before the resistive screen fanboys downrank my comment into oblivion.
It's pathetic when they bring the whole "resistive" can be as sensitive as "capacitive" argument, it's true on labs only so far we have not seen it in phones that got released,
So yeah, why should you care about resistive screen lovers? since when do people care what idiots say.
"since when do people care what idiots say."
And yet, you still post?
It's pathetic how the capaciteve fanboys ignore the better accuracy of resistive screens.
Resistive and capacitive both have their good, and bad points. You really cant claim one is really superior to the other.
But lost me on price.
Why is it that every single photograph the FCC take looks like shit?
It's in the FCC standardiced photography reguirements.
I've been wondering the same.
You lost me at S60 - I really feel for those people that just do not know the difference, and will part with 459 Euros for this coaster
That's OK. We're happy enough with phones that don't drop 30% of their calls and actually let you do what you want with them.
@Mark Anderson: +1
I didn't buy Samsung Jet for exact opposite reason: it doesn't have S60. Love that OS. But hate X6 price... I'd prefer "comes without music, hands-free, charger, colorful box, CDs, manuals" edition for a smaller price.
@Mark Anderson - _very_ impressive - does your "zing" still count if I don't have an iPhone? I currently use a Nokia N85 (which is terrible, btw).
I am only really biased against devices/platforms that are garbage - like this one.
Enjoy inferiority though...
Not really since this uses S60v5 not S60v3 which your N85 uses.
And if you hate your phone then get rid of it. Just don't assume that the rest of us are of the same opinion.
Simples.
@Shinigami its likely the X6 will be released "without" music some months after the initial offer (rumour & this http://news.softpedia.com/newsPDF/Nokia-X6-Comes-With-and-Without-Music-121126.pdf)
How pathetic. Engadget badmouths the N900 with Maemo + resistive screen, to glorify a Symbian phone with a capacitive screen next day.
shhh .. maybe they have
They should put Maemo on this thing. :/
PHONE PORN!
