DoDoNA's S-100 mp3 player doesn't need no stinkin' ergonomics
Clearly, skinny jeans aren't yet as popular in Korea as they are in Western lands. For if they were, we'd never see chunky cube-shaped players like this S-100 here, and the world would definitely be poorer for it. Taking its design cues from the mesmerizing Mintpass Cube, with a smidgen of old school iPod buttonry, this device boasts a 1.1-inch OLED display, FM radio, built-in speaker, voice recording, and a slightly pedestrian 4GB of integrated memory. No, it's not exactly sterling value at nearly $170, but we have the suspicion that the S-100 was never targeted at the unimpulsive analytical types anyway.

If they had MP3 players on the classic Sci-Fi Series "Space 1999" they would look like this.
MP3 cube for the office cubicle, seems perfectly ergonomic to me depending on its deployment..
if they realized that phones do this already they wouldn't make things like this...
Is this a joke?
They just put them in their man-bags, silly.
(I do this)
@unyari
Not even the manbag...just wear it around their neck. Can't have even something as slim as a iPod shuffle in the skinny jeans here in Korea.
@unyari
Seriously, I still do not get Korean, and by that I mean like KOREAN Korean, fashion men. Why do they carry purses?
@Outsider maybe they are sufficiently secure in their sexuality that they do not have it threatened by a bag.
@Outsider
Bags are useful. You can put stuff in them. They are also easy to match with what you are wearing atm which makes them a convenient accessory.
like it
@qlimax
like your display name. c:
It looks like a miniature front-loading washer/dryer.
It needs a plugin speaker that looks like an old Victrola phone
How do you pronounce the brand? I want to say "doodoo-nay"...
I'd say doh doh-nah.
Like the extinct bird dodo.
Seems dodona was a place in ancient greece too: The shrine of Dodona was the oldest Hellenic oracle, according to the fifth-century historian Herodotus and in fact dates to pre-Hellenic times.
So I guess there's a greek pronunciation too.
I like the MintPass way better.

I agree.
They took everything that was awesome in the Mintpass Cube -- analog meters, classic cassette buttons and sharp edges, and think its a sellable idea. The Cube might have been worth $170 (maybe 8GB version?), this thing isn't worth $50.
it looks like a Lego
As an American who's been in Korea for about six months, I can say that you're entirely wrong about the skinny jeans. People just tend to carry their electronics around rather than stow them in pockets. But for a country that just got the iPhone a few weeks ago, this thing would be pretty close to the cutting edge of value and design anyway.
You've been to korea and yet claim they are backwards in technology and design? Right..
It's true that koreans have their own personal taste which isn't always the same as the western one, but such statement as you make are just silly.
This thing highlights cultural differences lol. And about Skinny Jeans - I don't need to see that!
i think the older design was more orgasmic.
i think the first design that i saw was more orgasmic.
Nice
This is a ripoff of mobiblu's cube mp3 player. http://www.anythingbutipod.com/archives/2005/07/mobiblu-dah1500-review.php
I remember getting one a few years back, it was much cheaper(only 100$ for 1 gb), and smaller. It even had an fm radio, oled screen, and voice recording!
@iPodderr yes but, this one has a clock/alarm ftwinz
Well, it comes packed with a mic + speakerphones
If you plan to sit it on the desk during a lecture don't see why it would be bad at all.
this does look great, but 4GB is weak. WEAK!
