This phone(s) is getting a lot more coverage than it deserves. It's really a glorified dumbphone, the kind you give away for free with two-year contracts not something people will stand in line for on release day.
@blueskyv201 iPhone was a glorified feature phone when it was released about 3 yrs ago. What are you trying to say? If you dont like tech news, you should'nt be reading this site!
@Rajivsri If you lack the mental capacity to distinguish a feature phone from a smartphone, perhaps YOU shouldn't be reading this site. The point I'm trying to make is that dozens of 'dumbphones' (for lack of a better term) get released every year and go completely unnoticed. They are not desinged to compete with the high-end phones like the iPhone or the Droid and usually go after completely different segment of the market. Kin is no different. It is not particularly groundbreaking or attractive, nor does it offer anything new that other phones do not. It is because of that I was pondering why this phone is getting as much attention from the press as it is. Then you came along with your snarky remark, hoping to win some brownie points from the engadget editors. The fact that you brought up the iPhone for no reason whatsoever doesn't help you case either. Also, if you don't like my comments, maybe you keep you mouth shut and go troll somewhere else, because lets face it, that's all you were doing.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.

@blueskyv201 people that stand in line for gadgets are simply fanboys, don't let that impress you.
