City Interactive has announced what we believe to be its second first-person shooter to use CryEngine 3: a sequel to Sniper: Ghost Warrior
. We say "second" because the developer announced last month that it was working with Stuart Black
to create an "exciting new story-driven WWII shooter," which doesn't sound like the more modern, stealthy Ghost Warrior
. At that time, it also said it had licensed CryEngine 3 for two games.
Producer Michal Sroczynski revealed the plans for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2
in an interview with Eurogamer.se
. He didn't have much else to say about it, except that it will be released on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. We're kind of hoping for more nouns in the title -- we like the ring of "Sniper: Ghost Warrior Cowboy Boxer Cop Wolfman," ourselves.
