Previously on MV TV: The week of July 14th
Ah, livestreaming: the pastime of the rich and famous. Did you know that Joseph T. Rockenfellar of the famous FurTime Vaudeville theater group used to livestream games in the early 1920s? It's (not) true! But if he were a real person and had possessed the technology, I have all the confidence in the world that he would have loved to do it. After all, it's so fun to stream and watch streams! Wait a second... you missed some of our famous streams last week? You had to work, you say? Psssh! Don't worry, I've taken the time to assemble a group of some of the sweetest streams we had to offer. I've hand-picked them, washed them off, and put them on a plate. All for you.
So what's on the menu this week? Well, I'm going to start you off with a nice serving of Piggy playing some of The Secret World. Nice, huh? Next I'll give you a fresh helping of Mike playing EVE Online and World of Tanks. Careful, careful! It's spicy. Here comes the main course: MJ playing a bit of EverQuest II, City of Heroes, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, The Secret World and Aion! For goodness' sake, wipe your chin! I round off the entire thing with a heaping of Ryzom newbie island experiences.
Mmmm... newbies. Click past the cut and enjoy, but please don't forget to tip your streamers!
Psykopig has heard the cries of the fans: Story Shows are now king! Psykopig adventures back into The Secret World this week to continue to build the Massively Dragon character he created last week. He gives us some details on weapons and skill trees and takes down a heap of zombies! Does the character hold up? Are the weapons awesomeness in a can? Tune in to find out!
This week in EVE Online, Mike once again took his Tier I frigate out into low-sec looking for a fight. And of course, he was almost immediately podded. From there, Mike and some viewers engaged in a few violent frigate fights, none of which went in Mike's favor. As usual.
Did you know that Mike is awesome at World of Tanks? Because he is. Assuming that "awesome" means "very terrible, oh man, that was so embarrassing." Tune in and watch as Mike is repeatedly creamed by bigger, stronger tanks until he fires up his artillery tank and rains down destruction from above. Boom!
Progressing through one more step of The Blood Chronicles quest chain, MJ took a break from the adventure pack to check out the annual Festival of Unity. Unfortunately, apparently the Bug Hunt was postponed. They must've heard MJ was coming and known they didn't stand a chance!
The Mission Architect was no match for MJ... at least the first two maps of the mission and with a groupmate toting uber power and a nifty sword! Watch as the two played though a "discount" story created by a fellow player.
Left to her own devices, MJ toured a local dungeon and then wandered through parts of Thestra to look at new areas... or at least an area she couldn't remember apparently. It turned out to be part of one of her unfinished quests.
Can MJ's building healing powers pull a group through Polaris? Yes -- except for the final big, bad nasty! Still, not too shabby. Then the tank disappeared. What to do? The Secret World makes it easy: swap out weapons, change decks, and voila! New group dynamic.
Struck by a fit of quest amnesia, MJ apparently forgot that it took a whole group to help her with the last campaign quest, so her attempt to further another was met with swift and certain death! No matter -- that left more time to check out life on a PvP-less leveling server. Don't believe that's possible? See for yourself!
My love for Ryzom knows almost no bounds (I tend to turn it off when I sleep), so I decided to start streaming it again. I finally finished the crafting tutorial questline, and now I'm moving on to combat. If you're curious about Ryzom but haven't taken the 30 seconds it takes to download the game, check this stream out!
