Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams soars onto XBLA next spring

Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams hits XBLA in spring 2013

Giana Sisers: Twisted Dreams is coming to XBLA in spring 2013, from publisher bitComposer. Giana Sisters hit Steam in October as the second title to launch under Greenlight, published and developed by Black Forest Games. It appears bitComposer will be taking over all publishing duties, listing a PC launch for spring, too.

The (quite successful) Kickstarter for Giana Sisters listed a launch on PSN and XBLA in "early 2013," so we're keeping our eyes peeled for any PS3 news from bitComposer.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams pays homage to the platformers of yore, and does a wonderful job of it on PC. Sitting on the couch and holding a controller should only exaggerate that nostalgic joy. Unfortunately, blowing on the code of a downloadable game just isn't the same as blowing into a cartridge. But hey, give it a go anyway. You won't look insane at all.

bitComposer announces Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams

Eschborn, December 5th, 2012: In the coming year, bitComposer Entertainment AG has something special in store for retro platform game fans. Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is a new adaptation of the 1980s classic. Created by the German development studio Black Forest Games, which is Spellbound's successor company, the game will be released in spring 2013 for Windows-PC and Xbox Live Arcade.

Not only are some of the developers of the original hit "The Great Giana Sisters" on board with Black Forest Games for Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, but the legendary Chris Hülsbeck is back as producer for the soundtrack, too.

In Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, the player accompanies the two very dissimilar sisters on a journey to a fantastic world in which the sisters' different abilities are the key to solving puzzles and defeating terrible monsters.

Giana transforms herself with lightning speed to solve puzzles or make use of special abilities. With each transformation, her environment changes and only players who skillfully apply the right strategy can complete tricky levels and defeat nasty end-bosses.

Optically and acoustically, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is built on the latest technologies: Vivid colors and astounding graphics, paired with a wonderful soundtrack by Chris Hülsbeck, promise a unique platform game adventure.
