Terraria digs in on PSN March 26, Xbox Live March 27

Terraria will meet its projected console launch window, with PSN and Xbox Live downloads available in North America on March 26 and March 27, respectively. Terraria is priced at 1200 MS Points ($15).

Re-Logic's indie action-adventurer was first released on the PC in 2011, and now comes to consoles packing new content. Last we heard, Terraria had sold 1.6 million copies on PC.

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. - March 22, 2013 - After months of teasing new bosses, showing off brand-new multiplayer options and riding orcas, 505 Games is pleased to announce that the wait is finally over for the worldwide Terraria community as the console versions of the indie PC hit will be releasing next week on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®Network.

Xbox 360 players worldwide will be able to start their all-new adventure on Wednesday, March 27 and North American PlayStation PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system owners get a day's head start on Tuesday, March 26.

Terraria will be priced at 1200 Microsoft points/ $14.99 for PlayStation®Network.
