Whats going to happen to the MOP scenarios when the next expansion hits? Has Blizzard said anything? Will my higher level character be able to Q for them? Will they still be level 90?

I imagine what happens to all old content will happen to those scenarios: they'll be forgotten.

I'm editing in an elaboration here post-publication because I made the silly mistake of assuming you've been through the expansion process before -- it's possible you haven't been, and that's totally cool. The scenarios will all remain level 90. Whether or not you will be able to queue for them is unknown, but you'll most likely be able to revisit them in some capacity.

I think it's tuh-rahn-duh, but it's one of those names where you'll never get everybody pronouncing it the same way. It almost doesn't matter.

No. There's absolutely no quest, no in-game build-up, no explanation as to what happened there whatsoever. You're expected to read the book, but at the same time, the devs didn't try to accurately reflect the events in the book, either.

So it's kind of a pointless disaster all around.

RIFT just announced their upcoming 3.0 update, basically another expansion (and they just released the ridiculously huge Storm Legion last year!), and have said it will focus on the elemental plane of water, including Atlantis-style cities and other water-based locales. Do you think Blizzard will be watching this to see how players react, planning a possible return to the Neptulon story and other underwater stuff if it works out in RIFT?

I would imagine Blizzard watches every MMO. Knowing your market is important. That said, I doubt Blizzard would have any particular agenda in mind -- I doubt the developers are sitting around a meeting table, thrilled that RIFT is launching X thing so Blizzard can steal it later. Knowing a thing's successes and failures is just good knowledge to have.
