HP Envy

HP Envy TouchSmart 15-inch Laptop

Price: $850 (regularly $1,000). $30 shipping. Expires Oct. 27. Non-Costco members pay a 5 percent surcharge.
Buy: Costco

Remote workers and gamers looking for a mid-range laptop on a budget should be pleased with this HP. Tech writers are impressed with the quality of its four built-in speakers and the integrated Intel HD 4600 graphics card, which is capable of pushing decent frame rates on some modern games, provided you turn down the detail. Of course, the Core i7, 12GB of RAM and 1080p screen do tax the modest 6 cell battery and it does weigh in at a slightly hefty 5.6 pounds. Opt for in-store pickup to avoid the $30 shipping fee.

AudioSource SB121 Ultra-Slim Home Theater/PC Soundbar Speaker

AudioSource SB121 Ultra-Slim Home Theater/PC Soundbar Speaker

Price: $35 (regularly $100). Free shipping.
Buy: Amazon

If you live in a cramped space that isn't conducive to a surround sound setup, a soundbar can rescue you from the tinny, muddled sound pumping out of your TV's built-in speakers. This is the lowest price we've seen on this AudioSource entry (from a reliable retailer at least), which scores points for its slim design and clean look. We haven't seen any reviews on the soundbar, but it's now as cheap as some of the bargain basement models on the market.

Asus 23-inch Monitor

ASUS VX238 23-inch Monitor

Price: $130, use code EMCWXXM26 (regularly $200). Free shipping. Expires today.
Buy: Newegg

This big, bright monitor is perfect for work, gaming or just watching a few YouTube clips hedgehogs. User reviews are overwhelmingly positive, with customers singling out the crisp 1080p panel and broad color range as particular strong features. Some owners note, though, that the screen tends to get a little grainy when amped up to maximum brightness.

Deadpool (Steam)

Deadpool (Steam)

Price: $20 (regularly $40).
Buy: GameStop

Ubiquitous video game voice actor Nolan North takes on the role of fast-talking, immature Marvel mercenary Deadpool and puts on what amounts to a schizophrenic (and profanity-laced) stand-up routine disguised as a brawler. The anti-hero makes constant reference to the fact that he's in a video game -- trash-talking the studio, tired gaming cliches and the player's own incompetence. Reviews are mixed, but most gaming writers agree that the game's comedic high points outweigh its the shortcomings.

ZyXEL Server

ZyXEL Network Attached Storage and Media Server

Price: $73.24 (regularly $130). Free shipping.
Buy: Rakuten

This plug-and-play entertainment hub can stream video, pictures and music to an array of tablets, TVs, phones or game consoles straight from a hard drive or other USB storage device. You can also upload or download files to social or file hosting sites directly from the device. The tiny media server is even more attractive with its price nearly sliced in half.
