The Queue: I never get to go to BlizzCon

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi will be your host today.

Have never been, not going to get to go this year either. Ah well. Hopefully it'll still be a fun time for everybody that does get to go. Me, I'll be at home. My prediction is that there won't be any news about a new WoW expansion, but rather other Blizzard games instead.

ScottLeyes asks:
Soooo...

Argent Tournament Dailies? Frustrating or FRAKKING Frustrating?

I swear there are more players in Icecrown than there were on the ENTIRE server pre-patch.

"Get Kraken" quest took me NINE times to count eight spear tosses.

On the podcast Anne Stickney said much the same thing. It seems that the quest damage is scaling with iLevel much as the Gunship in ICC is, and the Kraken dies with one or two harpoons, exacerbated by the sheer number of people doing those dailies for pets and heirlooms. I agree it sounds very frustrating and I'm sorry you're not having a pleasant time.

itsdeeps asks:
so, toybox question: I've been playing for about 8 years and I have tons of toys and stuff all over the place, but I only have 9 in the toybox... I've logged onto all my toons on my current server because that seemed to add some here and there... so, what gives? do I have to add them all manually if they don't auto add or what?

Archaeology items and quest rewards were added automatically. Everything else, you have to add it manually.

Chrth asks:
Do you have any toons that you wouldn't want to meet in real life? Not just because they're "bad"*, but because you imagine something about their personality/behavior that makes you want to avoid them in the flesh?

Yes, all of them. They're all incredibly sarcastic, especially my draenei main - he routinely sasses Velen. My tauren's okay, but he's a gigantic minotaur and I suspect I would be afraid of him. My night elf routinely kills people for money. In general, it's not a nice group of people.

Eliza asks:
Opinion Q: Now that we've had almost a week to play with 6.0, what are fun specs to level with? (Any class...I have plenty of everything!) I'm enjoying my little combat rogue now, and my 45ish fury warrior seems more entertaining. Otherwise I haven't tested much out.

Keeping in mind that I have like ten warriors, and thus I would suggest all three warrior specs, let's move on to some other classes. I still find enhancement shaman to be a fun spec, even if I miss certain things that were removed from the class. Also, frost DK's are still my favorites.

KiwiRed asks:
QftQ: I'm wondering what effect the stat crunch has had on the old legendary items? Not that they'd be any good for progression-type content or anything like that, just wondering how effective they'd be when I'm wandering the wilds?

They were actually very good for about two days. I tested out Shadowmourne before the hotfix that reduced its proc, and it was a compelling offhand weapon for a fury warrior at 90, unless you had two mythic SoO weapons (which I happened to have). Meanwhile, I ran a LFR on my nelf alt, and the tank was using Thunderfury and holding aggro just fine with it due to the proc. Then they were hotfixed.

Now they're not awful, but they're more in line with other items of their level.

Klok asks:
Q4tQ: Why is Thrall green? Durotan never drank the blood, which makes an Orc green. Is this explained somewhere?

Durotan, Draka, and even Orgrim Doomhammer, who never drank the blood, all turned green. Durotan forbade the Frostwolves from drinking - today, all Frostwolves are green. It wasn't the blood itself that turned them green, it was exposure to demonic fel magics wielded by orc warlocks that did it.

smakfull asks:
I just went into Blackfathom Deeps and freaked out. Apparently I missed the patch 6.0.2 memo about "revamped classic dungeons." Any theories on why the walls of Blackfathom Deeps are suddenly sprouting tentacles? I love it.

Remember Aku'mai, the hydra? Well, the Twilight's Hammer cult have managed to coax the essence of the old gods out of the creature, transforming it into a vast monstrosity with three terrible heads that they hope will devour the world. Those tentacles are part of its body.

And that's the Queue for today. Alex will be back tomorrow. Ask him about his upcoming road trip.
