The Queue: I might be just a little excited

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

Maybe I should mention how many times I've watched the trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron over the course of the weekend. I'll just ... leave it here and let you guys watch it, too. And watch it again myself another couple dozen times or so. Let's see what we've got for Warcraft questions today, shall we?

gazaa07 asked:

Q4tQ: Speaking of the Toybox, Is there anything you wish were included for it? I would have put Innkeeper's Daughter back in there, since in the beta it was in there and it serves no other purpose then being a HS.

There are actually a bunch of older items -- old trinkets, mostly -- that I wish would just be moved to the toy slot. Obviously, they are items that can be equipped, so they don't technically count as a toy -- but that was pretty much the only option for fun items back then. Things like the Piccolo of the Flaming Fire, or even items from old world events, like the Argent War Horn. Those old world event items can't even be obtained anymore, but they do cool things that are more suited to a toy than a trinket. I'd be happy if I could get them out of my bank, I don't want to simply because they can no longer be obtained and they're neat.

alpha 5009 asked:

I'm sure the answer is no, but is there any way to transfer Horseman loot around? I've been running him daily on five characters, including one of each plate class. Today, The Horseman's Horrific Hood dropped. Twice. On my Monk and on my Shaman.

Unfortunately not. Unless the item is a BoE item, there's no way to transfer it. It'd be kind of nice if they'd make the holiday stuff Bind-on-Account though. I've vendored way, way too many swords and helms I could have used on one character or another -- or just saved for an alt. They don't need to be XP-boosters like heirlooms, just ... transferable would be cool.

wolfgang951 sked:

has there been any updates to the pre-expansion event quests for people who did them right after launch and got no rewards?/ been looking and havent found any info yet besides they are working on it.

Technically, you should be able to go back and get the quests again. However, phasing seems to have made that a technical nightmare -- when I tried to do it, half the quest givers weren't there, and I don't have anybody to turn one round of the quests into. They aren't there in either phase. Hopefully they'll address this in another round of hotfixes, before the expansion launches, because the rewards are pretty neat.

I've been wondering about the replacement of gear myself! I can't wait to finally get something new. :) And with the new stats on as well! But I don't understand why people are so crazy about the Garrosh heirlooms either. To me they feel a bit like... Ok, not exactly opening christmas presents a week early, but almost. Gearing up at the start of the expansions is fun! :)

People are really excited about the heirlooms because they are the only heirlooms we have in game currently that scale level 90-100. They're also weapons, which are notoriously hard to come by while leveling -- so everyone wants to get at least one before they go away for good. I believe they've stated that these heirlooms will be removed once Warlords of Draenor goes live. Now, they may add more 90-100 heirlooms at some point in the future, but right now, that's the only option we've got.

RufusHonkerIV asked:

QFTQ: Has the "You can only enter an instance five times in an hour" rule been lifted? I farm Naxx for frostweave and could only reset and go back five times - I haven't run into that now.

It's been lifted to 10 instances per hour -- likely because people can barrel through the things so quickly now, five was kind of a punishing number. I kind of wish they'd crank it just a little more to 15, but 10 seems to be a pretty solid number.

braellyn asked:

Q4tQ: I know from a gameplay standpoint, we can get back to Outland for levelling purposes. But from a story/lore standpoint, with the Iron Horde hooked up to our Dark Portal, what happens to all the folks out there? Are they now stuck until and unless we rehook the Dark Portal back to them?

From a storyline standpoint, we are stuck on Draenor until one of two things occurs: you get a mage tower created with portals that go back home, or they open the portals on Ashran. Dave Kosak mentioned on Twitter that the portals were mainly for gameplay reasons, but honestly, from what I've seen on the beta, it's entirely possible to play out the whole of the expansion without ever leaving Draenor. The only thing missing from the world is a barber shop. Everything else is available to you.

Chrth asked:

Q4TQ: which zone would be the most fun if recreated as an amusement park?

Ulduar was pretty much made to be an amusement park. Except for that whole, you know, Old God sitting smack in the middle of it part. That part could probably be left out.
