May 8, 2014, Copenhagen -- Reto-Moto has just released the largest content-update to date, for their persistent WWII MMO shooter Heroes & Generals.
The new update, codenamed 'Patton', doubles the amount of tanks by adding 9 new tanks, expanding the arsenal of war-machines to a total of 15 tanks, 3 tank-destroyers, plus 12 other vehicles ranging from fighter planes, reconnaissance vehicles, off-road cars and half-tracks to motorcycles and even bikes!
"This is the largest and most ambitious update we have made for Heroes & Generals since we went into open beta last year." said Jacob Andersen, Game Director at Reto-Moto "The community has been screaming out for more tanks, so it feels fantastic to double the amount with the Patton update."
The new personal vehicle loadouts enables all characters to have their own set of upgradeable vehicles. For infantry the vehicles are off-road cars, motorcycles and half-tracks, for recon soldiers the vehicles are motorcycles and armored reconnaissance vehicles, for fighter pilots it's fighter planes and for tank crews naturally tanks and tank destroyers.
"By introducing personal vehicle loadouts, where characters can own and upgrade the vehicles of their choice, and at the same time offer players to play as infantry, tanker, pilot and even as a General commanding the troops, I believe that we have something very unique compared to other online wargames." added Andersen.
The currently available upgrades for the vehicles are anti-tank- and supply crates for supporting infantry and coming updates will provide more kinds of upgrades such as camouflage, engine upgrades, different types of tank tracks, and special ammunition.
The Patton update also adds 2 new weapons: the US M3 'Grease Gun' and the German MP-34 as entry level submachine guns.
Access to vehicles and weapons is unlocked when characters rise in rank or earn ribbons based on their actions in the game, but if you wish to speed up the process, you may now purchase Ribbon Boosters to progress and unlock equipment and vehicles faster.
A new mechanism for spotting enemies has also seen the light of day in this update and a new introductory flow has been added for new players to ease their way into the game.

Reto-Moto will release more content in the coming weeks for Heroes & Generals, so jump into action and watch out for more updates.
List of the 9 new tanks in the Patton update
The M2A2 is an early American light tank. It is armed with a .50 and a .30 calibre machinegun mounted in two separate turrets. It is fast and dangerous to infantry and lightly armoured vehicles.
US M24 Chaffee
The Chaffee is a late-war American light tank. It is fast and with its lightweight 75mm main gun it packs a serious punch compared to other light tanks. The Chaffee is often used in harassing tactics against heavier tanks.
US M3 Lee
The 'General Lee' is an American medium tank armed with a 75mm sponson mounted main gun as well as a 35mm turret mounted gun. It requires an experienced tank crew to get the full benefit of this special tank.
US M4A1 Sherman
The Sherman forms the backbone of American armor and performs well as an all-round tank. It is fitted with a gyrostabilizer making the 75mm cannon reasonably accurate while the tank is driving.
German Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) Ausf. E
Build on Czech design this light tank proves more effective early in the war than Panzer I and II. The 'E' variant have increased frontal armor. It carries a 37.2mm Czech main cannon.
German Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf. C
The Panzerkampfwagen II is a fast and maneuverable German light tank. It is armed with a fast-firing 20mm cannon which is extremely effective against infantry and lightly armored vehicles.
German Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. H
The Panzer IV medium tank is the most numerous German tank of WW2. Originally intended as an assault gun, it was converted to engage other tanks. Variant H has been fitted with a high-velocity 75mm main gun.
German Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger II
The 'King Tiger' was the most potent tank of WW2. The long barreled 88mm main gun combined with superior German optics enables this beast to easily destroy any tank on the battlefield at ranges beyond 2000 meters.
German Jagdpanzer 38(t) "Hetzer"
Hetzer means 'chaser' in German and that is exactly what this small and fast tank destroyer does best. Low profile, sloped armor and a powerful 75mm cannon makes it a difficult to see, hard hitting opponent on the battlefield.
