The Queue: Is this new? What about this? Or this?

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Two weeks from today, I'll be joining Anne Stickney to begin our road trip down to BlizzCon. We had a blast last year, and we're planning for bigger and better this year. I'm excited. You should be excited, too.

RebeccaChallenger asked:

Are people still getting ejected from Ordos when they try to get to him without the Cloak?

Unfortunately, yes. I found that out the hard way. The cloak-requirement was supposed to be removed, but for one reason or another, it stuck. No Ordos for we cloakless peasants.

Bugboy asked:

regarding the fact that mail and plate classes start out wearing leather and mail, respectively, until level 40, do you think that, at this point, that mechanic is basically yet another relic from a different age of WoW, when things like having to learn and level up weapons skills (arguably) made sense? Is there a game mechanic involved, like tanks being too powerful at lower levels if they had plate, or something? Other than that, it seems like something that perhaps could be done away with at this stage.

I agree that it doesn't serve a purpose at this point. However, it doesn't impede on much, either. Your low level gear will either come from quests, which gives the armor appropriate for you automatically, or from heirlooms, which act as whatever armor type you can use on hunters, warriors, and paladins. Is it pointless? Yes. Does it matter? No. Not enough to justify re-itemizing all quests below level 40.

Creations asked:

Why are all of the WoD Cinematics (the ones containing major spoilers like the Nagrand ending Cinematic) so hard to find? They're basically gone from youtube, I searched everywhere and couldn't find them.

You have to access them with a direct link -- such as those provided in the Battle.net blog post. The videos are set to private, presumably so someone can't stumble upon them accidentally when looking for other, spoiler-free trailers?

KiwiRed asked:

With the amount of undertuned content right now, do you think the adjustment to actual challenge may mean we're going to feel like we're running into a brick wall when we start leveling up in WoD?

No, I don't think so. From playing on beta realms, difficulty while leveling feels more like Mists of Pandaria than Cataclysm. In Cataclysm, if you went into the new content with barely any high-end Wrath of the Lich King gear, you got wrecked. In Mists of Pandaria, it wasn't nearly so bad -- you couldn't steamroll the planet, but it wasn't difficult at all. Warlords of Draenor's introductory zones are not face-wrecking and don't ever become face-wrecking. The challenge isn't in the questing.

DetailBear asked:

When heading from the flight path to the town of Mudsprocket, I noticed that some of the plants have changed to be solid, but hinged at the bottom, so that they bend down as you move past, but then pop back up. Same in Southern Barrens, Felwood and Westfall. Is this new, or have I just spent too long in rocky and icy zones lately?

It's new to Warlords of Draenor and thus the expansion pre-patch. When you get out onto Draenor, you'll also notice that some friendly NPCs will try to walk around you rather than through you. That new pathing doesn't handle a character who is moving around very well (they'll often try avoid walking around you but walk through you anyway when you move), but you notice it when you're standing still. Your garrison guards won't pass through you while you're looking at your inventory or whatever.
