Pneuma pneuma, yay: First-person puzzler hits Xbox next month

Pneuma: Breath of Life will launch on February 27 for Xbox One, developer Deco Digital announced. The first-person puzzle game is currently on Steam Greenlight, seeking community approval for distribution on the PC service as well. Pneuma will be console-exclusive to Xbox One for its first 30 days. The game features environmental challenges based in a fairly mysterious setting, as seen in the trailer after the break.

In it, players "progress through a narrated story of self-discovery, exploring the fundamental nature of being," according to the developer. Pneuma: Breath of Life's puzzles are expected to "force players to think outside the box and explore beyond what they know as reality through the eyes of a god," with voice-over work provided by Jay Britton. The PC version of the game will support Oculus Rift.

"Since we announced Pneuma as a timed exclusive on Xbox One, we couldn't wait to reveal footage from the finished game to the public as well as begin to talk about compatibility with Oculus Rift. We've quite literally been working day and night for the past 6 months on no salary to make the game. We've survived by working at bars during the night until the early hours of the morning then coming back into our studio at 9:00AM to continue work on Pneuma. It's not been easy, but I believe what we've designed is something special that the gaming community is craving on both consoles and PC."
– Joe Brammer, Producer & Artist at Deco Digital.
Availability and platforms: Pneuma: Breath of Life is planned for release on February 27th 2015 on Xbox One through the Xbox One Marketplace as a 30 day timed console exclusive. Deco Digital have just launched their Greenlight campaign for the game and plan on releasing on Steam as soon as possible. Oculus Rift DK2 support will be included with the Steam release.
