  • Reception and call quality Very sublime, absolutely no issues. Except, S5 is not very fast at updating network availability. After moving from no reception to good reception areas. good
  • Display The display is the best part about the phone.Absolutely splendid, Samsung really hit their mark here. You never get tired of it. great!
  • Battery life Even after a whole day of usage(provided your brightness is set to Auto)I still have around 12% remaining which is quite a big deal when you compared with 5s. great!
  • Camera Again, another bulls-eye by Samsung. The camera is also one of the best parts about the phone.Though, irritably the camera app takes 5 seconds to launch. great!
  • Ease of use Very easy to use. You don't even need to get the hang of it. Touchwiz UI makes key features readily available in the drop down menu great!
  • Design and form factor I wouldn't call this a very beautiful phone, but it's look shows for what it's worth. The new perforated back panel makes handling this 5.1 inch giant very easy good
  • Portability (size / weight) Yes, despite being very large it is incredibly light weight. The new back panel provides excellent grip even when your hands are sweaty. great!
  • Media support Never had any problems here. great!
  • Durability Giving this a 4 because i haven't dropped it as yet :-). But in the hand, it feels solid good
  • Ecosystem (apps, accessories, etc.) Despite it's very impressive specs and processing abilities, apps open very very slowly at times, making you question your choice of this product. so-so
Detailed review
After ugrading from the iPhone 5s I've been using the Samsung Galaxy S5 for almost 2 months now. Everything from top to bottom is spot-on!. The display is fanstastic, the camera scores a 10/10 in terms of quality. You really get what you've paid for!. But, one thing has me questioning, apps load very slowly. The camera app especially. The interface also tends to lag at times unlike the iphone 5s which is much more responsive compared to the Galaxy S5.
