It's been pretty common knowledge at this point that Sony's RX100 line of cameras have been the best point and shoot cameras that you can buy. Their latest iteration is now available for mass consumption. Have you picked one up? Share your impressions below.
I'm definitely interested (though at this point I've had both the RX100 I and RX100 II, do I really need the III? Probably).

Why do dedicated cameras take such horrible panoramas?

Kalalau Lookout: 9 images from my Nikon D300 stitched together in Photoshop back in 2007.
Back before we had this newfangled technology built into our cameras and phones that automatically create panoramas, we previously had to stitch together such a photo inside apps like Photoshop. It used to be a tedious process but has gotten much easier.

Anyone who was on the Internet last week probably heard about the changes to Instagram's Terms of Service, where they say they can sell your photos to advertisers and other such commercial interests... at least, that's what everyone was going around saying. The Verge laid it out here:

What is the best recording video setting? I am going on vacation and I want to get the best quality from the videos I take. Can someone tell me whats the difference between AVCHD and MP4 (pros & cons). Even if you dont own this camera and what to chime in feel free.
