Is it worth the investment? If you have a small room and a friend, then “Yes.” The SimulView feature is amazingly clever and the screen renders 1080p content beautifully ... If this is supposed to be your primary screen, you’re going to be sorely disappointed.

The machine has a lot of faults, but I didn’t find them sufficient to diminish the initial “whoah” factor of SimulView. As a demonstration of a genuinely impressive piece of gaming technology, the display serves its purpose.

While it does have the impressive ability of simultaneously sending two video sources at once, overall the Sony PlayStation 3D display is an expensive and small device that really doesn't fit in any practical environment.

With or without SimulView, at $499 the PlayStation 3D Display is still a value. It’s small, but it has great picture quality and features, as well as plenty of bonuses packed in. If you’re on a budget and need a compact HDTV, check it out.

Since its announcement, I've been anticipating getting this monitor because I've always liked the idea of playing beautiful PS3 games in 3D (like Shadow of the Colossus). Once the monitor dropped in price to $300 from $500, I instantly sold my older monitor (http://gdgt.com/asus/vw246h/) for $100...

The PlayStation 3D Display is designed to be a gaming monitor, primarily for the PS3. It's a 1080p edge-lit LCD panel. At 24" it's a good size for a bedroom or den. The 3D Display uses active LCD shutter glasses. This is clearly a TN panel. Compared to, say, a 2D Dell UltraSharp monitor, the...

The display is very good, well made and with a clear, crisp picture. The display is very reflective, a little too much I think. It would be a little bit bigger maybe a 30" display would have been better. The speakers are good, nothing to write home about but they do work. I don't like the idea...

Good display for 250$ with 2 glasses and 2 games bundled. It lacks a dvi input and remote which is a minus but still way better than other displays for the money. Edit: Works like a charm with universal remotes and htc one ir port and bundled tv app.

Monitor was NOT durable. I had the monitor factory rebuilt 3 times from the same issue. I strongly recommend you stay away from this quickly discontinued display.
