As part of today's surprise Nintendo Direct Mini (which packed in way more news than anything "Mini" should reasonably offer), it emerged several big 2K Games franchises are coming to Switch. All three BioShock games -- BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered and BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition -- will hit the console May 29th, along with BioShock: The Collection, which bundles the titles into a neat package.

This week there will be a number of 9/11 retrospectives, as we remember the day of the attack on its 15th anniversary. CNN and the History Channel will air specials Sunday night, while the NFL Network will focus on the day during the season premiere of The Timeline. All of that will occur as the NFL season begins this week, with a matchup between the Broncos and Panthers Thursday night. This week The Iron Giant Ultimate Collection arrives on Blu-ray, while gamers can dig into XCOM 2 on PS4 and Xbox One. On TV, we're looking at FX where it will premiere two highly-anticipated series from Donald Glover and Pamela Adlon. Glover's Atlanta debuts Tuesday while Adlon's Better Things arrives Thursday night. Meanwhile, on Crackle you can check out the full first season of its new series Startup. Finally, for devoted Karate Kid fans, Sony is releasing the second third movies individually as part of its manufacturing-on-demand Blu-ray series. Look after the break to check out each day's highlights, including trailers and let us know what you think (or what we missed).

XCOM 2 hit PCs earlier this year, and in September you'll be able to play it on those current-gen consoles. After some indications that the game wouldn't make the leap to PS4 and Xbox One, 2K is set to release the title in North America on September 6th with a global launch to follow on September 9th. Two DLCs have already been released for the PC version, including a truckload of new gear for the soldiers and the addition of three new Ruler alien enemies. If the PC-only comments had you down, don't fret: you'll be able to take command at the end of the summer on the console of your choice.

Titled Anarchy's Children, the add-on pack will come with more than 100 "exotic" goodies, which you can use to deck out your soldiers. This includes new armor, helmets and masks, as well as fresh hair styles, face paintings and decals.

XCOM 2 was supposed to launch in November, but apparently planet-wide alien invasions are tricky to schedule. Firaxis has pushed XCOM 2's release date back to February 5, 2016, noting that the game isn't up to the studio's standards quite yet. "We've set a high bar for the sequel and the entire team has been working hard to make sure we deliver a great follow-up to Enemy Unknown," a short blog post reads. "We just need a little more time to make it the best possible game."

Prepare for permadeath. XCOM 2, the sequel to 2012's wonderfully rich strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown, is due to hit PC in November. XCOM 2 comes from publisher 2K and developer Firaxis Games, the very same team behind Enemy Unknown. They've been teasing a big announcement with a website for the Advent Administration, a futuristic government that advertises gene therapies and other technologies that rid humans of all illness -- but the site has been hacked with messages that suggest all is not as rosy as it seems.
