The second batch of answers from Age of Conan's "Ask Kalanthes" have appeared. This time around we're treated to a large batch of pre-launch questions such as system requirements, RP-PvE servers, what happens when you die and various class-related questions.RP-PvE servers are an interesting topic, as the forums have been in hot debate over the subject of whether or not AoC should have them. Some players insist that such servers are an absolute necessity, while others contend that players who want to role play can simply do so in specialized guilds.

Our curiosity spiked last month when the Age of Conan team presented their Ask Kalanthes advice column concept. We have to admit that a chunk of our time was dedicated to wondering just what kinds of questions they were going to be answering -- and in what way. Thankfully, we no longer have to guess as the first round of answers have been posted today. It turns out that the column is an interesting blend of straight-up game related answers and in-character Kalanthes-style answers. While the first column seems to focus heavily on Age of Conan questions, there are a couple of pretty interesting of-the-wall questions as well. We've always wondered what that little square hairdo was about, too.

In what can only be described as a very interesting concept, FunCom has put its own version of an advice column. Kalanthes -- a kindly old man with a piercing gaze -- will be answering questions about Age of Conan or life in general. You have to wonder what sort of personal questions they're going to receive, they certainly won't be timid. We certainly wouldn't want to be in charge of opening some of those emails. But hey, if you've got some burning questions about how things in the upcoming barbarian romp are going to work or just want to know the answer to life, the universe and everything (ahem, forty-two) then give it a whirl.
