Did you miss late March's $139 Amazon Gold Box Deal on the refurbed Kindle Fire? Well, the retailer is giving you another chance, bringing back the deal for today (May 5th). It's the same discount as the last go-around -- namely, $30 off the standard price for the refurbished Fire -- and Amazon still certifies and reseals it. It's even throwing in a one-year warranty for good measure. Also like last time around, there's a limit of five discounted Fires per customer, so don't get too grabby.

Beginning this Sunday, Target is having a great promotion on Nintendo Wii titles. Customers who buy two Wii titles (priced at $49.99 or more) can pick up a third title (priced at equal or lesser value, at a max of $49.99) for free. The catch? The offer is only available in stores! That means you online shoppers must first acquire pants, get into your car, drive to the store ... man, this sounds like a lot of work! But with over 80 games available in the offer, it might be worth the effort. Also, if you plan on picking up Animal Crossing ... be prepared to answer a few questions.(Click image to view the full ad)

If you've yet to explore the not quite barren wastelands of Fallout 3, today might just be the day to get started. Amazon is currently offering the collector's edition of Fallout 3 for $49.98, just over $30 less than the retail price of $79.99. Lest you've forgotten, the collector's edition comes with a Vault Boy bobblehead, a 100 page art book, a making-of DVD and a sweet metal lunchbox (It also includes the game, which is important). If that sounds just a bit too paltry for your expensive taste, Amazon is also offering its exclusive Survival Edition for $109.98, a $20.01 savings over the regular price. The Survival Edition includes all the extras of the collector's edition, with the addition of a replica Pip-Boy digital clock.Like we said, if you've been waiting to get Fallout 3, nabbing the collector's edition for less than the standard edition is a pretty sweet deal.[Thanks, Alex]Source - Amazon.com -- Fallout 3 Collector's EditionSource - Amazon.com -- Fallout 3 Survival Edition

Just thought you'd like to know that the always deal plentiful Amazon.com is offering a free 3 month Xbox Live subscription card with purchase of a $53.99 copy of Gears of War 2. That's a retail savings of about $20. This Gears 2 and free Xbox Live bundle offer is valid through January 13th, so be sure to decide on a purchase within' the next week or so. Some of us around Fanboy Towers think Gears 2 is Game of the Year worthy and highly recommend a purchase. Just saying ...[Thanks, Daniel]

  • Toys R Us deals: Buy 2-get-1 games in Canada, $20 off in US [update]

Ahoy Canadian gamers, a tipster has informed X3F that Canadian Toys R Us stores currently have a pretty sweet deal on video games. We're not sure how long it will last, but for the moment Toys R Us is offering one free game with the purchase of two on any platform. There are a few catches though (naturally). First, the second game must be of equal or lesser value, so don't go thinking you can grab a budget title and score a free copy of Fallout 3. Second, the deal is valid only for games under $89.99, so no free Guitar Hero or Rock Band for you.Don't worry US gamers, Toys R Us has a deal for you, although it's not quite so sweet. Right now, when you buy one game (PS2, 360, PS3, or Wii), you can get $20 off a second game. The game does have to be at least $29.99, so again, budget titles are more or less excluded from the deal. Toys R Us is also offering free shipping for orders of $49 or more. Now go, go save money![Thanks, CapNJunkie]Source -- 2-for-1 games, Toys R Us CanadaSource -- Buy one, get one $20 off Toys R Us USA[Update: Correction: The Canadian deal is to buy two games to get a third game free, not buy one and get one free as we originally reported.]

The folks at Stootsi.com have been known to offer some pretty good deals in the past but, frankly, this one takes the taco. What's the big deal? Today, Stootsi is offering 360 Pro consoles (you know, the one with a 20GB hard drive) for a mere $189.99. Throw in $6 for shipping and you've got a helluva deal. Now, before everyone runs off at once, you should know that the consoles being sold are refurbished, so buy at your own risk. They do come with a 60 day warranty, for what it's worth. We invite anyone that has bought from Stootsi before to share their experience in the comments.Still ... 190 smackers? That's even cheaper than the rumored price cut.

One would think that all the business that GTA IV is netting them would be enough to make Gamestop happy, but no. In a promotional move that hasn't been done in a while, Gamestop is offering a buy two get one free deal on any of their used games and accessories. So any three used things you've your eyes on at your local Gamestop can now be bought with the cheapest ending up being for free. According to the promotional material Assassin's Creed and Gears are $29.95 as well, but they note that you should call ahead to find out availability. The buy two get one free deal lasts until Sunday, and the other two seem to be available until the eighth. Happy game-hunting!

If you're still on the fence about actually purchasing an Xbox 360, then we have a new reason for you. Actually, we have 150 of them. Head over to OverStock Dealz and you can pick up an Xbox 360 premium system for only $249.99. Yup, that's 150 smackers off the normal retail price. Now, it should be noted that the condition is listed as "Like New, in Original Packaging," and we've never shopped at OverStock Dealz before, so buy at your own risk. Still, at a $250 price, it's likely to be the best deal you'll find on an Xbox 360 for quite a while.[Thanks, Raymond Gonzalez]

    06.13.2007

We've seen our share of great deals here at Xbox 360 Fanboy, but this one absolutely takes the cake. It seems a Wal-Mart in Metairie, Louisiana has discounted the $199 peripheral by a staggering $139, reducing the price to $60. A shopper has posted photos of both the price in question and a receipt as proof. Before you speed to the nearest location, endangering countless civilians, you should know that Wal-Mart.com still lists the device at $199.82 (a whole 17 cents off MSRP!). Still, if you live in Metairie (or know someone who does) you'd better act fast. There's no telling when someone at the corporate office will get word of this chicanery.

TechBargains reports that select Sam's Club stores are selling the Xbox 360 HD DVD player for $130.99. Other Sam's Club locations are selling the players for $149.99. Either way, you could potentially save a hefty chunk of the usual price of $199.99. Keep in mind that these prices are before tax and that you must have a membership at Sam's Club in order to make use of this offer. Also, the offer is available in-store only.Anyone find any other good 360 deals lately?[Thanks, David Dobish]

Best Buy is currently offering copies of Lost Planet for the reasonable price of $49.99. However, if you're a stickler for a good bargain, and we imagine you are, you can knock off an additional $10 with a special coupon in the latest issue of GamePro. The coupon specifies that copies will not be accepted, but we've heard tales of folks printing off high resolution copies and redeeming them with no trouble -- not that we condone that kind of behavior. In fact, a little sleuthing after the "read" link might just point you to the aforementioned high resolution coupons. You might even find out a few strategies for getting your coupon accepted.Lost Planet for $39.99? Not a bad deal if you ask us.

  • UK: 360 premium pack for 45 less

    02.20.2007

According to the Inquirer.net, UK wholesaler, Makro, is selling the Xbox 360 premium pack for the same price as the core pack (£199). Our friends at DCEmu inform us that the Inquirer neglected to mention that Makro lists its prices without including VAT (that's a tax, for non-UK readers), so the real price is £235. Considering the premium pack normally costs £279, it's still a considerable savings. You must have a membership card to shop at Makro, but if you've got one (or have a friend who does) you could do much worse than a £45 discount. The Inquirer goes so far as to suggest that Makro's price reduction could be indicative of an overall price drop for the Xbox 360 (as hinted at recently by Steve "Developers!" Ballmer). Sure, it's possible, but we'd be surprised if we see an overall price cut before the holidays.

    01.08.2007

GameStop.com is running a pretty nice promotion this week. Using the coupon code "25U360" at checkout will grant 25% off the purchase of up to 3 used Xbox 360 titles. Want Oblivion, Dead Rising, or Saints Row for $37? Done. Call of Duty 2, Table Tennis, or Condemned for $18? No problem. The sale supposedly ends next week and it only applies to items that are in stock, so you'd best grab the good games while the gettin's good. You know you can't resist. Those Gamerscore points are calling you with their siren song.As always, be sure to let us know about any deals you encounter. Please, try and keep these deals related to the 360 (unless you're talking about crock pots, of course).[Thanks, NuAngel]

  • UK deal: wireless adapter for 25

We received a nice deal for all of our UK readers today. Great Universal is apparently having a promotion where any £45 purchase receives a £20 discount. As fate would have it, the Xbox 360 wireless adapter happens to cost exactly £45. The offer comes via Hot UK Deals, which also provided us with our most recent UK deal, so we imagine the offer is legit. All that is required is a £45 purchase and the application of a discount code (D9) at checkout. Of course, there is a small caveat: it may take as long as 7 weeks to ship. Still, the savings are fairly substantial if you have the patience. If any UK readers give this a try, let us know how it went.[Thanks, Aaron Wright]

Circuit City is having a sale on Xbox 360 wireless controllers. Right now you can bag one for the reasonable price of $39.99, 10 whole dollars off the typical retail price. Granted, it's not the greatest bargain in the whole wide world, but it's better than nothing, especially considering that shipping is free. If you've got some holiday money burning a whole in your pocket and you need another controller, you might as well pick one up.Anyone spot any other post-holiday deals out there?[Thanks, von551]
