Rrrrrrrr... Vroooooooooooom! Whooooooooom! Fire! Boom! Fire! Boom! Whooooooooooom! Thwoooooooosh! Fire! Boom! Beep beep beep! Be careful! Wooooooooooooooosh! BOOM! Fine... we'll put down our arm-wings and stop running around the room, but only to tell you 3D After Burner 2 is out on the eShop today. The latest in Sega's 3D-enhanced Classics range includes 23 stages, new difficulty settings, visual additions like smoke transparency, and multiple arcade cabinet styles. Also, there's a new "special mode" that's unlocked after you beat the game. In it, shooting down planes builds up a meter that, when full, lets you slow down time to avoid attacks and take down foes with ease. So it's a bit like the Climax Gauge in After Burner Climax, or Neo in The Matrix. Whichever you prefer. Alright, that's too much time not playing Human After Burner. Don't worry, we've included the full list of new eShop releases below the break and you'll find all the new eSales here. Get ready! Whoooooooooooooooooosh!

Summer Games Done Quick has just granted everyone a free pass to watch a week's worth of speedruns in the name of charity, but if livestreamed gaming isn't your thing, you can still support the cause. Donations made by Games Done Quick viewers will benefit Doctors Without Borders, but this time, the livestreaming effort has brought along a teammate: the fine folks at Humble Bundle. Until the charitable event's June 28 conclusion, The Summer Games Done Quick Bundle offers 10 games for $25, with 100 percent of its proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders. The bundle includes Gunpoint, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Guacamelee! Gold Edition, among others. In the case of Guacamelee, only 25,000 copies are available for the sale, so anyone interested in brawling through an adventure as a luchador (and sometimes a rooster) should make a swift purchase. For PC users, each game can be claimed via Steam key or as a DRM-free download. Mac and Linux users should look closely at each game's dropdown menu before buying in however, since not all of them are available without DRM on all platforms, or even available on Mac and Linux in the first place. For two years, the Game Music Bundle series has served as a convenient alternative to leaving games running in the background to listen to music. Its sixth entry aims to do the very same with over 20 soundtracks, including Fez composer Disasterpeace's soundtrack for Famaze. The bundle also includes the first official digital release for Braid, along with soundtracks for Guacamelee, Kentucky Route Zero, The Stanley Parable, Mighty Switch Force and more. A dollar will earn the soundtracks to Dust: An Elysian Tail, Braid, Rogue Legacy, Electronic Super Joy and Famaze, but contributing $10 will grant you all 24 albums involved in the bundle. Of course, if you'd rather give the composers more than a few cents, you can pay any amount above $10 that you feel is fair.

  • Scale reward tiers just got bigger: $20 gets 5 extra indie games

Scale has raised $41,000 in three days on Kickstarter, almost half of its $87,000 goal, and its reward tiers keep growing. A new $20 tier called "Friends of Scale" offers a copy of Scale developer Steve Swink's LA Game Space project, Inputting, along with Steam keys for Incredipede, Osmos, Electronic Super Joy and Noitu Love 2. You'll also get Scale, of course. The new $15 tier includes a copy of Scale and Inputting. The Kickstarter updates for Scale each take place in-game and show off the mechanics, puzzles and strategies players can expect from the final build. The second update provides a look at Scale's resizing gun once it becomes outrageously powerful and can no longer hit individual objects – instead it shrinks and grows entire worlds. Plus this update shows a really embarrassing photo of Swink himself. Take a peek at more improv Scale gameplay in the first update below.

  • Electronic Super Joy is happy to enter Steam Early Access

Electronic Super Joy, the hardcore platformer with a flashy soundtrack, is on its way to Steam Early Access on August 7 for $5, a 35 percent discount from its eventual launch price of $8. Pre-orders get instant access to the beta, and the Steam version will include online leaderboards, achievements and brand new levels (to die in). Electronic Super Joy is a mix of Super Hexagon and Super Meat Boy, and not only because they share a similar word – it stands out at conventions because of its bright colors, high-intensity music, and the crowd around players failing ridiculous platforming levels again and again. Seriously, you will die in these levels, but it will sound so good. Electronic Super Joy is available for pre-order, with beta access, right now for PC, Mac and Linux via developer Michael Todd Games.

We ran into Electronic Super Joy at PAX East earlier this year, when it was part of the Indie Megabooth. It's a game that naturally stands out in a crowd, with bright backgrounds, stark platforming stages and a dubsteppy, chiptune soundtrack. Think Super Meat Boy meets Super Hexagon. Electronic Super Joy will be available for pre-order at noon ET on Friday, June 14, for $5, and that price includes access to the beta. At launch, the game will be $8, so that's a pre-order discount of 35 percent. Electronic Super Joy is due out between September and December for PC, Mac, Linux, Android tablets and iPad. Rock out and get your hardcore platforming on later this year.
