The Nintendo Switch will support a handful of new games, of course, but it's also going to feature some fan-favorite classics from the Neo Geo era, Famitsu says. The Arcade Archive collection from Japanese video-game publisher Hamster Corp. will land on the Switch worldwide beginning in March with King of Fighters '98, according to the report. Keep in mind that the Switch itself is scheduled to come out March 3rd for $300 in the United States.

If good omens really exist, then Metal Slug 3 being the first game for Xbox Live Arcade in 2008 is surely one of them. Microsoft has informed us that the game will be arriving on XBLA next week, starting off 2008 with a digital bang (followed by many, many more bangs, dead soldiers, and giant boss creatures). Part of one of the most popular action series of all time, the game will feature Live (and presumably local) co-op and updated graphics. Metal Slug 3 will be available next Wednesday for 800 MS Points. Our only worry is that so much on-screen action might make Live co-op a little sketchy. Let's hope not. Well, it only took SNK nearly a year to announce it, but we finally know which Metal Slug will be hitting Xbox Live Arcade. Having already read the headline, you may have guessed that it's Metal Slug 3. If so, then you are correct. Go get yourself a cookie. According to a (translated) press release from SNK Playmore, the game will be part of the company's lineup at the Tokyo Game Show next month. In the same press release, it is also revealed that SNK Playmore will be showing off Fatal Fury Special (known as Wolf Legend Special in Japan). There you have it then. Now that the veil of secrecy has been lifted, are you happy with SNK's Metal Slug choice, or would you have preferred a different entry in the series?[Via XBLArcade]
